Dec 1 - 14, 2024 - Christmas Parties, Discovery Center, Concerts

Dec 1 - 14 Moments:
After church pictures.

We put up the Christmas tree.  Sofie and Noah enjoyed their Christmas coloring books.
Snow!
This was actually from thanksgiving.  Noah and Kira gave me sweet thank you notes.
Awwww!  Christmas.
Sofie and Noah made gingerbread houses out of paper for their math class to learn about perimeter and area.  What a fun project!
Isak is learning how to cube blindfolded!!
Christmas pictures before we went to the Christmas party for church.

It was a Christmas Breakfast and the decorations were amazing!  It was a Grinch themed party.

We enjoyed trying all of the pastries and breakfast foods.
And the hot cocoa bar was fun and delicious.
Cuties: Noah and Sofie
Nels and Kira
Kira's face cracks me up!

The kids watched some of the Grinch movie.
Snowball tossing game.
We had a good time...
Afterwards, we went to the free Discovery Center day.

We played Dreidel like they do for Hanukkah.

The girls crafted...
Boys played...
I wrote "Let it snow." on the chalkboard.
Kira drew a unicorn.
They went down the slide a few times...you can see it in the background.
I liked their tree decorations...the letters from the periodic elements spelled words.. Like Cheer.  C - Carbon, He - Helium and Er - Erbium.
I love Sofie's panda Christmas shirt.

Sunday pictures:

Isak did a 5 second solve on his 2x2 cube!!
Kira had her first Band Concert!  She played hot cross buns and jingle bells.  It was short and sweet.
Her friend Emma from church came to support her.  Emma plays trumpet in the high school band.  It was so sweet of her to come!

My cute boys.
Sofie drew this nativity scene.
Isak's Choir concert.
The theme was Carry the Light.  It was so good!  Isak sang Keep Your Lamps, Winter Lights, a Very Merry Christmas, Carol of the Bells, Carry the Light.  His choir teacher asked us to think about "Who do we carry the light for, who is a light to us, how are we a light to others."  It was a great concert and very enjoyable.

Nels and I went to a White Elephant Exchange Christmas Party together.  It was fun.
Christmas decor.  25 day countdown.  Each day has a name of Christ on it and the scripture that goes with it.  We read one each day and then the kids had a chocolate from their advent chocolate calendar.  It was a nice tradition this year.
