June Moments

Here we go with our moments from June.

I love giving the kids ice cream cones.  😀
Also, notice Kira's socks?  She has a fashion sense all on her own, and lately its included high socks.

Isak gave me a funny face.
So he gets two pictures.

I think I dished up Noah first and that's why his ice cream is almost gone.  Cute ice cream face, even with the ice cream dripping from his nose.
Everyday moment with three year olds...they found the watches we gave at Christmas time.  So cool, now!  haha!
I think this was a before picture for when we went to the park.
I thought it was so cute how they all wanted to wear their sunglasses and Noah wanted his Mickey hat.  Then Noah took his off.
After the park, we took the boys to get their haircut.  Isak got his hair cut first and this is how the other three passed the time.
Reading outside.
Noah wanted his pic taken too!
They all ate muffins outside and then read some more.
A tired Sofie girl.  She fell asleep like this.  I thought it was adorable.
I did a coding project with a lot of help from my brother Jeremy.  We finished it and I think it's pretty cool!  It's hangman and we built it using Angular.  I learned so much by doing this project.  I'm so grateful Jeremy spent hours helping me build it.  Isak and Kira tested it out and thought it was awesome.  😀👍
Cute kids in red, white and blue.

and me too!

And Noah was not willing to take a photo...this is how he protested it.  Haha.
This is what summer time is for...we built an indoor obstacle course.  The kids loved creating it and then doing it over and over again.
They also like to make beds out of the chairs and then pretend to sleep.  haha.

I bought both Isak and Kira a math workbook to do this summer.  So here they are working on it.

Little Sofie in the background showing off her ballet moves.
Then she wanted a pic of her own.
So one day, Sofie was not a good girl.  She was a messy girl.  She started the morning by getting yogurt all over her hands, like she was trying to wash her hands in yogurt.  Then somehow she put glue from a glue stick all over her hands.  Then she colored these huge scribbled circles on the wall in our living room and dining room.  I'm not sure if Noah helped her on that one or not.  Where was I?  I was in the other room, then I noticed Sofie and Noah being quieter than usual and found the crayon on the wall.  😡  I was not a happy mama!!!  I tried to use different methods that I found online to clean the crayon off the wall and they all failed.  So I called Nels and asked him to buy a magic eraser.  And those erasers are magic!!!  It took all of the crayon right off.  Wahoo!!

Of course, while we were cleaning it, Sofie decides to make one more mess by purposefully spilling her milk and cereal all over the kitchen floor.  Let's just say, I was grateful to put her to bed!
Orange cream popsicles.  Yum!
Happy Father's Day!  Nels sure does a great job as a dad.  He's always helping and making the kids laugh.  We love him tons.
We made him a yummy dinner and brownies and ice cream.
Noah just looked cute sitting on the stairs with his toy.
Nels tried to teach Isak how to tie a tie.
We ate at Colonial Cafe because the kids won a coupon for a free kids meal by doing the summer reading program at the library.  I don't think we will eat there again though.  We thought the food was overpriced and not that great.
I ordered the chicken and waffles.
Sprinklers and water toys outside.  Quick break for lunch.
Another red, white and blue Sunday...

I love how Sofie is sticking out her tummy.  😍
Kira is always writing me sweet love notes.  They melt my heart.  I love that she is thoughtful like this.  I try to write notes to her too.  She LOVES when she gets a note.
We celebrated our 16th wedding anniversary.  I looked at our wedding photos.  We were so young and now I feel so old.  Haha!
We celebrated by getting a sitter.  yay!  Then we played tennis.  I won 6-4.  It was a fun game.  Then we ate dinner at Panera.  Then we watched some of the outdoor concert that was happening on 3rd Street in Geneva.  It was just so great to be with my Nels.
And that wraps up June.
A big, fun trip to Nauvoo.
Father's Day.
Anniversary.
Six Flags.
Lots of visits to different parks.
Bike rides.
And trying to enjoy every moment of summer with these four cute kids!!

Parks and the Library

I tried to take the kids out this month.  Especially when the weather was nice.

Here's before pictures of when we went to the library.
Funny faces.  Love these kids.
We spent a good two hours at the library and enjoyed all of the activities they had available.  The kids colored and made pirate boats.

I think Noah might be a lefty...we'll see.
They played trains and puzzles and other activities.  I love how Sofie looks at Kira to see how she is posing...
Cute sisters.
The library even had outdoor games set up this time.  So Isak played checkers and a bean bag toss game.
The three other kids loved this huge connect four game.
Here's a selfie at a new park we went to in June.  South Mill Creek Park.
They had a cool barn and I made sure to take pictures of the kids in front of it...but I let them play first.
There was a fun rock wall.
Some drums.
And of course some swings.
Love that Sofie "Cheshire cat" grin.

💕
Then a little photo session in front of the barn.

Noah wasn't cooperating.  So I scooped him up and got a selfie with him.

We were invited to a pool party.  Here's the before picture.
They had a great time with yummy shaved ice.
Isak loved the huge water guns.
Here's the group.
We went to another park in Mill Creek.  But I didn't take a lot of pictures.

Noah loves to balance around the edge of the park.
We met up with some friends at this park.  It was a really fun park with lots of cool things.
Noah surprised me by going down the biggest slide over and over again without any help.

And the last park was called Lion's park.  The kids had a great time here and loved the huge slides.
So those are the parks and other outings for June.  We usually ate a picnic lunch and the kids loved going to new parks and exploring them.
