Kira made this unicorn out of clay...
One of the days of spring day, we spent the whole day doing legos...
Isak built his x-wing fighter lego set.I helped Kira find the pieces for her grocery store because they were mixed in with the big box of legos. Here's all the kids with the lego sets we built over spring break.
It was nice to just have time to do it and not have anywhere to go.
Funny Sofie. She learned about static. haha.
Sofie bunny roo.
Pictures of drawings before we threw them away.
We worked on Sofie and Kira's room...So all of the pictures came down...
Kira wrote and drew this picture. 💜
I painted the ceiling white and touched up the pink paint. Nels painted the trim white.
Then we hung up the decorations on the wall!! I love the circle shelf. Both girls have a bulletin board to put their pictures on.
"I am a child of God" art. I love their room now! I just need to buy a few items for the shelf. It was a great first house project. Decorating takes a lot of time, creativity and money. I don't know how people do it! It's a real talent...that I wish I had!
Sofie got an Easter Bingo game from her speech teacher that we enjoyed playing.
I just love these 2nd Graders!
Sofie asked me to take this photo of baby teddy eating mandarin oranges on a cracker.
Isak with all of his stuffed animals.
Lunch outside.
Nels and I went on a double date to Top Golf. It was fun to do something new.
I was Terrible at it! But I still had fun.
Nels was Amazing at it!
He totally won!
He was so happy!
Then we ate at Mongolian Grill. Fun date night.
The girls helped me make banana cream bars. These bars are way too sweet for me. I only ate one small piece. But Sofie, Isak and Kira love them and ate the rest during the week.
One morning, when all of the kids were in school, I pampered myself with a face mask. I've never done one. It was cold and slimy. But it was fun just doing something new for myself.
Here's my face afterwards...
Snuggles with Sofie.
Ha. Isak is feeding Polar a fish.
Here's what Sofie built.
Puzzles completed!
I'm a bunny too...kids make you do silly things.
Sofie looks much better in the bunny blanket.
We read this book about Ivan the gorilla. I think there's a movie about it that we will try to watch.
Waiting for the bus photo.
Sofie and Noah got to watch a concert for kids sponsored by their preschool. It was called Macaroni Soup. They had fun singing songs and doing the actions.
I looooooved my daffodils this year. So pretty.Sofie and Noah had their first dentist appointments. Noah has no cavities. He did well for the dentist, other than his gag reflex...
Sofie was a good patient too. Sadly, she has some cavities. 😢
CatBoy and Kitty joined us for the bus drop off.
Then I took their picture with the flowers.Even Kira took pictures of the daffodils. She's really enjoying her camera and taking pictures. 💜
She liked how her all pink outfit matched the pink blossoms of the tree.
Just running some errands with Sofie and Noah...silly kiddos.
Isak and Kira's art work from school.
Other April Stuff:
I read lots of picture books to the kids. Silly Seven Eaters was one of my favorites.
I finished LIFT4 by Beachbody. I really enjoy lifting weights for exercise.
I finished a 30 page Shutterfly book of pictures from 2020. From my 800+ favorites, I selected a little over 200. 😂 So many photos!
We watched a good series on Disney plus as a family called The Secrets of Sulphur Springs. I loved watching it with the kids.
My dad finished radiation treatments. Hooray! Sadly, my mom was diagnosed with Diabetes. 😢
We watched a virtual read aloud with teachers from Isak and Kira's school. That was enjoyable. I loved the Magical Yet story.
That's all for April. We loved the better weather and tried to take advantage of it. Lots of reading, playing and learning this month. Also, Isak and Kira went back to school every day starting in April. Wow, that helped me feel less stressed out! Yay!
That's all for April.
