April Moments

I am so happy I have a pink flower plant as part of our house landscape.  It was a happy surprise.
Noah helped me vacuum one day.  He's turning into a great helper.
Sometimes you just need a Sofie snuggle.
Sofie made this.  What is it?  It's her birthday cake instructions for a panda cake.  😂
Kira helps Sofie learn more about pandas...
Nels built the playground for the kids to enjoy.
While we worked to unpack the garage, the kids did sidewalk chalk.  Isak drew Sam his elephant.

Hopscotch!  This one is Isak's.
Panda hopscotch, of course.
Kira's hopscotch.
Sofie and Lamby eating pizza.  Sofie's favorite pizza is olive and cheese pizza.
Here's our house with two pink flowering bushes.

And a Kira painted rock.
What do you do with leftover whip cream?  We play pie face.  Haha.  It's always funny and messy.

Sweet Isak.  I went to check on him.  He had fallen asleep reading the 7th book of Harry Potter.
Crafting Sofie.  It's always a surprise what she will create.
We bought a couch...Here's Nels and Kira relaxing on it.
Here's the four kids enjoying all of this space!  They each set up their own school for their stuffed animals.
Kira loves her milk pancakes like Grandpa Swensen.
Noah races home from the bus.  He grabs a stuffed animal and runs out to greet the stuffed animals owner.  Today he brought Sam for Isak.
I got to play a few games of Spot It with Noah.  He's quick.
"Mom, Mom, look what I can do!"  I'm so proud!  Haha.
Kira's lego creation.  She's so thoughtful and detailed oriented about it.
Matching jammies...
We were sick for general conference weekend.  Lots of snuggles...
We played apostle memory to help the kids learn about the apostles before general conference.
I got to play Mouse Trap with these two...
I taught Kira how to play Mancala.
I made cinnamon rolls for general conference too.
Isak did diamond art while he listened.  We didn't have our TV hooked up so we used Alexa and the laptop.
Yummy cinnamon rolls!
Sofie colored this.
Isak finished his puppy during conference.  So proud of him!
Just a picture of a great dad making pancakes with his twin 5 year olds help.
Kira tried to make a unicorn...
Sofie made a bunny.

I've fallen in love with sweet potato fries in the air fryer.  They are great with this sauce too.
The last week in March and the first week in April, the kids and I were all sick with awful colds.  One day there was a knock at the door.  It was Crumbl Cookie delivering 12 cookies!!
Who was it from?  They couldn't tell me.  So I called the store.  They said it was from somebody in Idaho.  OH!  I know who.  I called my parents and said "THANK YOU!!!"  What a delicious surprise.  We ate on them all week.  The kids loved them and I'm positive it helped them get better faster.  Thanks mom and dad for your sweet surprise!
Here's our Sofie Panda Roo.
I unpacked a box of sentimental items....Stories on cassettes.  I remember listening to them while I tried to fall asleep at nigh.  But I never wanted to listen to Sleeping Beauty because it was way too scary! 😂
BYU-Idaho diploma.
My little pins and necklaces that I earned or were given to me.  YW medallions, Band, violin, DARE. Sweet memories.
I met Nels for a lunch date at Chicken Salad Chick.
It was pretty yummy.
Even the kids got to go through their stuff.  Kira looked at all of her books that she has made since she was five and let some go.  Sniff, sniff.  She loves to create, draw and write.
We got some fancy blackout blinds for our bedroom.  I love them.  We can pull the top down or the bottom up.
And this is in the middle of the day, it blocks the light so well.  At night it's even better!  It's the darkest room we've ever had.
Isak learned how to braid.  Kira did too.  They used plastic bags to practice on at school.  Then Isak wanted to practice at home too.
A new book that Kira is working on.
Tattoos came in the mail when I ordered the girls new headphones for school.  Sofie and Noah wanted them on.

Yes!
Nels received this teddy bear from his Grandy Jack when he was a kid.  He passed it on to the kids.  Noah loves it the most.
Isak got a new diamond art to work on.

It's of an elephant and a giraffe!  His two favorite animals right now.
The kids had testing which is a big deal around here...so the teachers asked us to write encouraging notes.  Isak and Kira like to take tests.  So I just wrote them a joke instead...Isak's joke:
Why did the elephant cross the road?  To avoid the giraffic jam!  Haha.  Kira's joke: what do unicorns eat for breakfast?  Lucky charms!
I met Nels at Sandwich Factory.  We like that restaurant.  Especially the cheese sauce for fry dipping.
These photos were a little out of chronological order, but that's ok.  April was a month for us to continue to unpack and get settled.  We bought furniture and a piano.  We played soccer.  We were sick and now we're thankfully healthy again.  I did a lot for YW's.  Kids continued to learn and get used to a new school.  Nels worked hard and is progressing at learning his new role.  Lots of changes that we have made and now we are working to get used to them.  We are slowly finding a new "normal" for us.
