We are currently living in Lafayette, Indiana. Nels is attending Purdue University and has one year left to complete his MBA. We are trying to explore Purdue and the Lafayette area a little more this year. We started by going to Purdue football game. Everyone is very rowdy and full of team spirit. There is an incredible energy at the game. We had a good time even when it rained and the game was delayed due to lightening. We hope to go to another game soon. In the mean time here are some pictures from the game.

One of our favorite places that we like to treat ourselves to is called the Silver Dipper. It's a local ice cream shop. We usually share a banana split which is always delicious.

This is where Nels lives besides our apartment. Very nice $37 million building, but I like our home better.

It's on the corner of Grant and State Street.
I work across the street in the Krannert building for undergraduate business students. So far I am enjoying my job.
One thing that both Nels and I like about Purdue is that it's rich with tradition and history. John Purdue donated land and money for Purdue in 1869. A great site to visit to learn about Purdue's beginnings is :
We visited John Purdue's grave as mentioned in the history. Here's a picture of it.

It's an exciting time to be at Purdue right now because they just completed the Neil Armstrong Hall of Engineering building. The building is being dedicated on October 26, 2007. I believe Neil Armstrong will be there for the dedication. Isn't it a beautiful building?

That's all for now.

I especially liked learning how Purdue got the nickname of boilermakers.
