April Wrap Up

April Wrap Up!

Nels captured this Kira girl grin at the park:
Isak helped build this pattern with blocks.
The kids enjoyed a halloween story being read by Aunt Melissa.
My sisters and I all got pedicures.  It was so fun to go out with just us girls!
I tried a new crockpot recipe.  Orange glazed meatballs.  Super easy and super yummy!
The kids come up with the silliest things.  Laundry basket beds.  :)  They read books and played for a while in them.

I thought it was so cute.  I tried to practice taking better pictures while they were sitting somewhat still.

Isak was pretty proud of himself for putting sand all over his Chase truck and dog.  He wanted to show daddy.  So we took a pic and sent it to daddy.  Thank goodness for technology!
I made these hats for the babies. :)
Kira gave me a kiss.  :)
My parents gave us the Friend magazine for Christmas.  The kids love it.  Their favorite page is the hidden picture...where you find the hidden objects in the picture.
It was a box play day.  Hours of fun play.  :)
Nels bought matching shoes for him and Isak.  So adorable!
Nels's parents threw Michael (Nels's sister Anna-Lisa's husband) a birthday party.  They have friends that have a bowling alley and indoor pool at their house.  So we partied there.  It was the kids first time bowling and they had a blast.  They used the slide and pushed the ball.
Watching the bowlers.  I did not bowl...I felt like I was already carrying a bowling ball around. :)
Their first scores...Isak bowled 108 and Kira bowled 83!!  Nels bowled 89 and his mom beat him with a score of 90.  :)  It was a fun party and the kids loved swimming too.  I even went swimming...I wore one of Nels's swimsuits and a T shirt.  It worked.  I am glad I got to play with them in the pool.
Just relaxing and watching a show.
Melissa helped me tie Kira's quilt and I did the binding so it's all done!  Yay.  The kids love their quilts, so I am glad I made them.  :)
And last project:  These are all the hats I made for the new twins that will be arriving tomorrow.  I hope they fit!
And now I am all caught up, except the few pictures I have taken in May.  I am 38 weeks pregnant today and we are scheduled for a c-section tomorrow morning.  I am nervous and excited!  It might be a while before I get back to blogging again...but when I do...I can promise there will be lots of pictures of babies!

Thanksgiving Point Horses

When I found out that there are horse rides at Thanksgiving Point, I knew we needed to go at some point so Kira could ride a horse.  Thankfully, my sister Mandi has a pass so we got in for half price.  Yay!  My sister Mandi and three of her kids (Ethan, Kyson and Teaghan) and my sister Melissa joined us for a very fun morning.

The kids were sooooo excited and happy when they found out they were going to ride horses.  Here's some pictures of their adventure:
Isak rode on the largest horse.  He did a little "horsey" cheer while he was riding.
And Kira was in heaven.  She chose the pony with the purple bridle.  She grinned the whole time and was so sad when it was time to get off the pony.
Here's our group:
Here's a horse.  :)
Kira is pointing at the horse.
Isak and Kira watched the horses in the stalls for a bit.
Then we went on a wagon ride that was pulled by two horses named Daisy and Doc.
Kira watched the horses pulling the wagon very carefully.
The pics are a bit out of order.  But here's more pics of the kids riding the horses.
She wasn't even scared.  She just wanted to stay on forever.
Isak loved it too and grinned the whole time too.
Love this grin.
Natural riders.  :)
We watched the ducks and geese.
Mandi made a funny joke, "I wonder if they are playing duck, duck, goose."  haha.

We looked at other animals too.
Pretty peacock.
We thought the turkeys were kind of scary up close. haha.
Here's the wagon ride.
Then we played on these rockers...I don't know what this toy is really called.

And I posed (I was joking around, but the other pictures looked worse...so you get my funny pose) with my 36 week belly.
Afterwards, we ate at Cafe Rio.  It was such a fun outing.  Kira and Isak talked about what they did the whole way home (about a 30 minute drive),  It was so cute.  And just the other morning, Kira asked if we were going to ride horseys round and round.  I said no, and she cried.  :(  She definitely wants to go again.  And both of them say, "we need to take daddy to the farm."  :)

A Sunday in April

Since we missed having an Easter Egg Hunt, we did a little one at Nels's parent's house in their backyard.  Aunt Britta gave these adorable Bunny Ears to the kids.  I thought they looked so cute!

The kids were nice enough to let me get pics, before they ran to pick up eggs!

And then they were off.
They knew exactly what to do and rushed around to pick up the eggs.
They are silly though and thought they needed to pick up only their favorite colors...Kira picked up mostly pink, purple and yellow and Isak picked up blue, green and orange.

Doesn't she look carefree.  :)
I bought this little dress for Kira at Kohl's for $7!  I thought she looked soooo cute in it.
Handsome Isak with his Paw Patrol Marshall dog.
Isak loves to please me..."sure mom, I'll smile."
He's a great kid!
Here I am 2 days shy of 34 weeks.
And one last pic of sweet Kira. :)
