Strawberry Picking!

We went to the Hall Family Farm to pick some strawberries.  The kids weren't too interested in the other activities the farm had...they just wanted to pick strawberries.  haha.

Isak tried out the tricycle.  When we went in the fall Kira loved the tricycle, but this time she wouldn't even touch it.

And we are off to pick some strawberries...watch out!

I love when they are nice to each other and can stand to be within a few inches of each other.  :)

It was a fun and yummy day picking strawberries.  And the fresh strawberry shakes Nels made were delicious!

Strawberry Festival in Fort Mill, SC

I love May.  The weather is nice and the strawberries are in season!  We took advantage of the Strawberry Festival in Fort Mill, SC.  We started out with an all you can eat strawberry pancake breakfast.  Mmmm good!

Kira wasn't too excited about it, but as you can see Isak was getting into it...he even had seconds.

Then we headed over to the festival and climbed into an Ambulance.  Hopefully we never have to ride in one of these for real.  But it was interesting to check out.

There were little activities for the kids to do.  They got doctor hats and played with sidewalk chalk for a bit.

Kira found her purple chalk and was concentrating very hard on drawing.

Then we got free helmets for the kids and did the bike course.  Nels was very attentive to little Kira's first bike ride.

There were lots of vendors for food and crafts and desserts.  We bought some bbq sandwiches and a hot dog for the kids.  That's about all.  We had fun just being together as a family and celebrating Strawberries.

Wrapping up April, Finally!

We had so many outings in April that I don't have a lot of little moments or random pictures.  But here is what we do have...

We bought the kids sunglasses.  They picked out their own and love them.  They wanted to wear them all of the time and I finally had to make a rule to only wear them outside.  So this is before the rule...Kira...Hot Pink of course.

This picture just makes me laugh.  Isak with his socks and no pants on, just walking around.  Mischievous little boy if you ask me and definitely lovable!
