July 25 & 26: Rodeo & Parade!

July 25 - Friday continued:
After dinner, we got ready and went to the rodeo.
Dad and the boys.
Me and the girls.
We're ready to watch the St. Anthony 24th of July Rodeo.  I remember going to the rodeo as a kid with my family, pretty much every year.  It was a tradition we enjoyed.
Bucking Bronco's!
We got some snacks.  Grandpa even tried some.  :)

We watched roping, barrel racing, the bucking bronco's and bull riding.  My favorite was when they let all of these kids chase after a calf.  The calf had money in bags that was taped onto it!
All of the kids, except Noah participated.  :)

Fun times. :)
They didn't get the money, but that's ok.
It started to get a bit chilly when the sun went down.  So these three tried to share a blanket...

The bull!  Only one guy was able to ride for 8 seconds.
Quick picture before we left...
It was a fun night and the weather was perfect.  My mom told me that some years it gets rained out!  So we were glad the weather was just right!
July 26 - Saturday:
Another tradition we had was going to the 24th of July Parade.  So we got ready and headed to the parade Saturday morning.

This is the view from the Teton Hwy.
Jenny and her three kids and me and my four kids packed up and found a spot to watch the parade.

Here's our set up:

Sweet Adelaide slept for some of it. :)
The parade was a hit.  The kids were impressed with the floats and especially with all of the candy they got to pick up!
They would wave and cheer and people threw candy at them.  They thought it was the best thing.  :)

We saw Big Foot riding a camel!

So fun!  I'm glad we stayed for the play, rodeo and parade this year in Idaho. :)
After the parade, we packed up and headed down to Utah.  Before we left though, we stopped at the Wilford Cemetery and said hi to Grandparents:
Grandma Stewart is finally with her husband.  I'm glad we went to their graveside.
Then we drove to Aunt Kari's house.  My parents, Jenny and her kids, me and my kids and Kari and her kids all stayed at Kari's house for the next few days.  So fun to be a part of family things.
