June 6 - 15 Moments - Summer Time

June 6 - 15:
We love summer!
The kids are eating and playing games with each other.  I love it!  The games: Mastermind and Mancala.
Summer is a great time to build things.  Here's Noah's creation:
And Isak's:

Another one:
Sofie taught FHE and did a great job teaching about choosing or "chews"ing the right and consequences.
Nels taught Isak how to put up the tent and prepped for YM's camp.
We helped Nels put together booklets with the schedule and other info for the YM's camp.
June 9th was Nels's first day of his new job!  The dress code is white shirts.  So we bought him a few white golf shirts and other types of shirts.  He looks great!
Thanks for working hard for our family.  💙
We waved good bye.  We will miss him.  We are sad that he won't be around as much, but thankful for his job.
We made a summer treat.  Peanut butter and chocolate truffles.  They have crushed pretzels and peanut butter inside the chocolate.  Isak loved them!
We set up the pool and the kids had fun.

Here's Isak enjoying a truffle.
They made hammock's out of towels.
Sofie and Noah worked hard to figure theirs out.

Success!

More eating of Truffles.
Trip to the library.  We signed up for the summer reading program.  The kids were so excited.  They have to read 600 minutes and then they get a prize.  We also got free lunch there and they picked out a lot of books.  Yay!
Eye appointment for Noah.  His eyesight hasn't changed, but they said we need to patch some more to strengthen his left eye.
So Noah patched while he listened to an audiobook.  He looooved the audiobooks and it counted towards the 600 minutes of reading.
Mexican Straw Hat.  This is a meal I grew up with.  It has a chili type mixture on top of lettuce.  Then toppings like tomato, avocado, cheese and Fritos on top.  Mmmm!
We helped a friend out by watching her seven year old son.  He was super fun and Sofie played with him for while until Noah woke up.  They played games and ...
made slime...

And when Noah woke up they danced around.  We also played go fish all together.  It was fun to have him!
Isak went to YM's camp on June 11, Wednesday and he stayed until Friday night...he got rained out again!!  So he came home a little early.  He said he had a great time.  They did lots of activities.  His favorite was shooting.  A leader took this picture and sent it to me...so grateful for that!!
Braids for Sofie:

Crafting girls:

Haircuts:

We played Qwirkle.
Sofie won!
We made homemade yogurt popsicles.  Mmmm.
Sofie went to a friend's house and had a great time.
They played dress up and ate dinner and watched a movie.

Nels and I got matching sunglasses to wear when we play pickleball.  :)
We went to our friend's daughters farewell for her mission to California.  She does a great job with events.

Father's Day:
The kids made him cards:
I think Kira's was funny.  She has a big grin...
Nels made German pancakes.
Here's his notes, cards, airplane.  I gave him quick drying sweat towels to take to pickleball. :)
We're so thankful for Nels and all he does for our family!
BBQ chicken thighs for dinner.
We made chocolate dipped bananas, inspired by the ones we had at Dollywood.
And that's half of June!
