Door Country - Day 1

We snuck in a trip to Door County, Wisconsin in September.   Yay!  Less prep than a camping trip.  We had a wonderful time.  We left Wednesday Sept. 16.  and stayed until Sunday, Sept. 20.

The day before we left, Sofie and Noah helped me shop for some snacks and paint markers.  Because those were necessities.  haha.  Look at these two cuties...
Then on Wednedsay, we packed up and left for Wisconsin.
We stopped in Milwaukee and ate at Red Robin.  Yum!

We arrived at the cottage on Porcupine Road close to 5 p.m.  We unpacked.  The kids found a stick horse...😂

Then we shopped at the Piggly Wiggly to buy groceries for our stay.  We ordered our pizza for pick up at the Door County Ice Cream Factory -- no eat in dining for that restaurant.  We made all the beds.  And got settled...
Oh, and we watched the sunset over Ellison Bay and threw rocks and collected rocks for painting.

We ate late - 8 p.m. or so and ate ice cream.  We got everyone to bed and asleep close to 10 p.m.  I read Emma by Jane Austen while I waited for Noah to fall asleep in our bed.  Then I carried him to his bed.  Big day.  More to come.
