Christmas Eve and Day!

Christmas Eve!!

My sister Melissa gave us these festive aprons.  ðŸ’•  Thank you!!
Nels got a ham at work, so we cooked it up.
Nels works hard and he has a cute little supervisor too.

To go with the ham we made stuffing, sweet potatoes, green salad, fruit and rolls.  We all ate together with our Christmas plates.

For dessert, Ice Cream Cones!!  Easy and the kids loved it!

Then we cleaned up and got jammies on.  Nels read Luke 2 while I helped the kids act out the story of Jesus' birth.  We sang songs..."Away in a manger" and "Jingle Bells"  Nels read "T'was the Night Before Christmas."

After the babies went to bed, Isak and Kira wrote Thank you notes to Santa and put cookies on a plate for him.
Then I took a couple of pictures of Isak and Kira in front of the tree.

Funny face...:)

These were two very excited six year olds!!
After they went to bed, Nels and I got to work.  Here are the gifts...

Christmas Day!  The big surprise?!  Everyone slept until 7:30 a.m.!!!  What?!!  Awesome!  I put some pre made cinnamon rolls in the oven and got a little bit ready before the kids woke up!!  Once they woke up we had them line up and go down the stairs.

They were excited and loved their gifts.  I didn't take too many of the kids unwrapping.  I just enjoyed the moment and my hands were often busy helping someone.  But here's a couple.  Isak unwrapping a gift.
Sofie LOVED this blanket and stuffed animal from Nels's parents.
These were the "Big" gifts for Isak and Kira...Lego sets.
Nels got me a tripod!!!  I tested it out here...
And a selfie stick!  Yay!  And Nels's parents gave me this pretty purple sweater.
And just like that Christmas was over.  The kids played and played with their new toys.  We watched some Star Wars and ate our leftovers.  We are grateful for the gifts we gave and the gifts we received. We tried to make it special and memorable and remember the true meaning of Christmas too.

Christmas Pajamas!

We opened up the pajama gifts a little early...on the 20th.  :)  I couldn't wait and if they didn't fit I wanted time to fix it.  Everyone loved their pajamas....except Noah.  He cried and cried.  I took a lot of pictures without him in them.  And finally, when we were about to give up he put them on and then tried so hard to smile in front of the tree.  New things are hard for Noah, even if they are fun things.

So here's the pictures of my little unicorns and raccoons.

I think the hats are so fun.  They don't sleep with them on, but they love to wear them around the house before bed time.
And here's Noah.  The other kids were done with pictures, so he got one by himself.  See how hard he is trying.  :)
I asked the rest of the kids to hop in with Noah.  Oh and there was no way he was putting the hat on!  I was just happy to have him in the pajamas standing with the rest of the kids.

And that's all this sensitive boy can handle.  We're done!

Christmas Outfits!

I fell in love with these Christmas dresses for Sofie and Kira at Old Navy.  I'm sooooo glad I bought them.  I thought these sisters looked absolutely adorable.  I grabbed this pic really quick before we walked into church.
They were so cute just holding hands and walking.
I found Isak a tie to match at Kohl's.
Sofie's face...💕  Kira's smile...💕
I was thrilled when we got this pic of all four smiling!!!

We braved the cold and took a couple pictures outside.

I tried to do a little family pic with my timer.
I like this one too!
Noah didn't get anything new.  He wore Isak's old sweater.  But I thought it went well with the rest of the clothes.  He surprised me and wanted me to take his picture in front of the tree.
It's so funny how three kids get a long and hold hands and smile...and then there is Noah...he doesn't want to be too close to them.  haha.

Kira was pouting a little.

Noah saying "cheese."
All of the dressy pictures on this post were taken on different Sunday's.  Short photo sessions work best with our kids.

Here's Isak in his reindeer shirt, ready for the Christmas Breakfast party at church.

Kira wore this to the party.
Sofie got ready, but stayed home with me because Noah was sick.

Another Sunday.  We were looking into the sun so squinty eyes.
Changed positions...
So cold.  Kids crying while they waited soooo long (two minutes or less) for us to open the car door.
A funny outtake...
This one is pretty good too.
Isak and Kira.
Sisters!
Selfie with Isak.

Isak is just growing up.  He looks so old here!

Noah... :)
Time to play.

And one shot...Thankfully it's a keeper.  Everyone refused to take another picture!!  All done.
I just love those outfits!!!
