Our "Annual" Bike Ride

Back in October we took our "annual" bike ride.  We did it last year, so now it's an annual thing. :)
We started at Freedom Park and biked the Sugar Creek Greenway.  We went South this year instead of North.  Here's a few pictures of our adventure:
Freedom Park is HUGE.  Here's one of the ponds with a fountain.
Snacks and books kept the kids pretty happy.

Selfie.
I just love bridges and nature together.
The trail has art along the way.  Here's a carving in a tree stump.  I'm trying to be like the carving.
"Hi babies!"
Afterwards, we had a delicious peanut butter sandwich picnic.

Frown.
Smile. haha.
Freedom park has some fun play areas.
And a train.
There's our bikes parked while we ate our lunch.
We let the kids play on the playground for a while.  They loved it, but Kira was getting tired.  So I took her to the swings.  Usually, she lights up when she is in the swing.  But she was tired.
But I did finally get her to give me one of her million dollar smiles!
It was one of those perfect days where the weather was perfect, the kids and adults were happy and it was a fun activity.  We look forward to next year. :)

Hall Family Farm Deja Vu

We went to the Hall Family Farm again for playgroup.  We enjoyed it just as much the second time.

Kira and Isak are getting much better at listening and actually doing what I ask.  They aren't perfect at it, but I love when they obey.  It helps for pictures too.  Kira actually stood by this sign so I could take her picture.  I was thrilled.
Where was Isak?  He immediately found the sandbox and surrounded himself with all of the trucks.
Kira explored a bit and I tried to take some pictures of her.

Isak was pretty protective of the trucks.
He enjoyed moving them around.  Strong boy.
When Isak was finally ready to venture out of the sandbox, we tired out the pumps.
They pumped water to make ducks float down the tubes.
Kira was fascinated by the water dripping down.

They both liked to pump too.
Isak found this big tire and of course had to climb up on it.
Kira joined him for the picture.
Then we walked through the pumpkin patch.  Funny picture of Isak sticking his tongue out.
Love this face too.  He liked picking up the pumpkins.
And Kira decided they made good chairs.
They started to get fussy...so as a good mom I gave them fruit snacks to cheer them up.  haha.  So this is their fruit snack break in the pumpkin patch.  I love that they just plopped down by each other to eat them.
I hopped in for a quick picture too.
We had a great time.  Isak went down the big slide by himself again and I slid down with Kira.  I screamed the whole way down.  I am such a wuss!  And again we didn't buy any pumpkins.  :(  Maybe next year.

Hall Family Farm, NC

October Fun!.
We welcomed the fall season by going to the pumpkin patch at Hall Family Farm.  We went with the Whitmore's and had a great time eating donuts, going on a hayride and watching the kids explore.

Here's some pictures of our outing.
3 Toddlers in a wagon.
Lots of pumpkins to choose from.  We didn't end up buying one.  I don't want to carve one this year...Halloween scrooge I guess.
 Kira excitedly clapping.
So many fun things for the kids to see and explore from the tractor to the fire truck.
 My attempt at being artsy.
Girl's rule.  Sorry Isak...just kidding.  I am sure Isak just wanted to run around.  His feelings weren't hurt.  :)
 Tiersha pulling the babies along.
The crew headed towards some fun.
Isak LOVED the fire truck.  He just grinned from ear to ear.
Kira was wondering what the big deal was...but she sat nicely for the picture.
There was this huge slide!  Isak went down by himself.  He didn't cry, but his face sure looked terrified!  I caught him as he slid across the tile.  Nels went down with Kira.
Can you see our faces?  Kira did not want to come inside.  Isak liked to look through the hole though.
Charlotte with her cute orange skirt and boots.
Family pic on the tractor.  Isak just wanted to drive it.

 Both kids were actually smiling!
There were these big tricycles.  Kira thought they were pretty cool.
Even if her little legs couldn't reach the pedals.

These big balls were fun too.

Isak just sat and played in the big sandbox.  He did not want to leave when it was time to go on a hayride.  This boy loves his trucks.
Time for a hayride.
This is what it was...tractor pulling a big wagon.
Tried to get us all in...
 The Whitmore's.
The hayride went around the corn maze field while playing spooky music.
Kira relaxed and enjoyed the ride on my lap.
Isak stood up and held on to the side for a closer look.
Such a cutie.  He didn't want to miss anything.
It was a very fun day.  Perfect weather, company and afterwards a delicious meal at Red Robin.
