!st Day at Disneyland

We all got ready and made it to our free breakfast around 8:30 a.m.  We ate pancakes, bacon, eggs and strawberries.  Lots of other families were there too.  So we tried to move quickly...haha...very hard to do with little ones.

We did one last trip to the bathroom.  I gave the kids a little lesson on how to take quick pictures...look at the camera and smile.  :)  So we practiced in the bathroom. haha.
Waiting for Dad to buy the tickets at the hotel.

And we are ready to roll and walk!
The weather was so nice!  70-77 degrees.  We put lots of sunscreen on.  It was about a twenty minute walk to Disney.  Little Kira was tired by the time we got there.  But she perked up once we were in the park.

Through the gates and a few pics with the flower Mickey Mouse.  Do you see little Kira's face??  :(  Sometimes it's just hard.

But she's quick to recover. :)
One of my favorite pics of my 4.5 year olds with the castle in the background.

Kira really wanted to go on the carousel with Nels and the teacups with me.  So those were our first two rides.

Then the whole family went on "It's a Small World"
We made our way to Toon Town.  The kids liked exploring Goofy's house and Chip and Dale's treehouse.

Nels took them on Go Go Gadget's rollercoaster while I fed the babies.  Then we did bathroom break and ate lunch.
The kids REALLY wanted to ride Dumbo next.
So we waited 40 minutes to ride it.  The kids were awesome waiting in line.  I kept asking if they wanted to wait and they would answer, "Yes, we want to ride Dumbo!"  Luckily, the babies napped during that time and Nels went and got fast passes for Star Tours.

Up in the air with Dumbo.
Another food and potty break.  We watched a How to Train a Jedi while we fed the babies.  Then we got to do the child swap for Autotopia.  We got ice cream and fruit bars.

We did child swap for Thunder Mountain - only Isak got to ride it twice.  Kira and the babies hung out with me for a while and then Nels played with them.  Of course, I took pics while we waited.

Thunder Mountain.
Snow White...
Autotopia ride.
We rode on Astro Buzz...Here we are waiting in line...

Taking a break to feed babies.
We did Star Tours twice...with Isak only.  Poor Kira was just a couple inches too short.
Our last ride was the carousel.  It was magical.  All six of us lined up on four horses.  The castle was lit up in the background.  All smiles.  Nels started to tear up.  It was a sweet moment.

Then we excited the park.  Nels and I carried Sofie and Noah and pushed Isak and Kira in the stroller.  We ate at IHOP and then got everyone ready for bed.  13 rides and 1 show.

Disneyland Trip - Solvang, CA

We went to Disneyland May 7-10, 2017.  Our First Family of Six Vacation!!  What a trip!
We drove down to Solvang, CA and arrived just in time for lunch.  Solvang is a Danish Village.  It's neat and I'm glad we made the stop.  You feel like you're stepping into a different country.  We walked up and down the streets.  There were a couple of big windmills.
Then we ate lunch at the Red Viking.
We tried a sampler of meatballs and cabbage.  It was all delicious.

Then we walked around souvenir shops.  I loved all of the blue and white plates.  I bought a magnet of course and a Christmas tree ornament.
We ate the most delicious sweets too.  Some were from this adorable Mortensen's Bakery.
My favorite was the aebleskivers or pancake puffs with jam and ice cream on top!!

Then we ate an eclair at the bakery.

It was a picturesque place.
We finished the drive along the coast and arrived in LA/Disneyland 6:30 p.m.  We stayed at the Homewood Suites for about $140/night.  Two queen beds, living room (where the two babies slept) and a kitchen.  We treated ourselves to dinner at Outback Steakhouse.  Then we tucked everyone in and we all slept pretty well.  I think I got up with Sofie once, but she went back to sleep.  Yay!

Wrap Up April 2017

Highlights for April included buying and building this playset for the kids.  They love it!!  Nels did a great job building it.

Selfie with my Sofie.
The weather warmed up so the babies got to explore outside a little.  I love these happy babies outside pictures.

Her little feet.

Sofie loves to put things around her...even a burp cloth.
Figuring out her tongue. haha.
And I do not remember what happened to the poor girl.  But my guess is that she is upset about her hair! haha.
Dad reading to the kids.
I love my boys!
Sofie and Noah taking all of the hats out of the cupboard.  Part of their daily routine.
Noah in his cute star pj's swinging away.
I love this pic.  I ended up using it in the calendar I made for 2018.
He's not a baby anymore.  Sniff, sniff.
There was a community service project to help clean one of the local parks we go to often.  So I took Isak and Kira to help me clean.  It was a good experience.

One Sunday...I love Kira's happy face and Isak being so good.

The babies discovered that they can climb behind the couch.  So fun...until they get stuck.
And this is my life...
And a picture of what happens when you don't get anything done...
So messy... not edited.  But it can be cleaned and the housework can wait while I hold babies and feed the kids, etc.
Sofie loves to take out all the wipes when I forget to put them in the drawer.
Sitting in the box of toys makes playing easy.
Let's Ride!
Noah is getting a little more adventurous.
I don't remember where we went...but we must have worn out the kids because they are all asleep.
So peaceful.
April was a good month overall!
