Mom and Dad, Day 3 and 4

We couldn't decide what to do for the second to last day.  The weather wasn't great.  We ended up going to Fort Mill and just touring around a bit...not a lot to see.  But they did have this cool train and a park with a cannon.  So we were happy.
Plus, the train is red!  My favorite color.

Kira loved being on grandpa's shoulders.
Reading the plaques.  The park was about the civil war.
That's all the pictures from that day.  We did enjoy some yummy brauts that Nels cooked up for us.
Sunday was their last full day with us.  We went to church.
Us girls in Relief Society.  :)
Isak fell asleep on grandpa.  I guess his class just wasn't as exciting.
After church, my mom caught me grabbing some snuggles from Kira.
Then we took a few pictures outside.

I don't know what I am laughing at, but Kira sure does have a cute grin!

The boys.
Nothing quite like grandparents with their grandkids. :)

I love Kira's face in this one.
And Isak and Kira are BOTH Smiling and kind of looking at the camera.
All of us, thanks to my long arm super power.
Thank you soooo much for coming mom and dad.  We loved every minute and making these memories with you!

Mom and Dad, Day 2

We ventured uptown Charlotte to the Imaginon Library.  It is an amazing library!  We made it just in time for story time.  I love going to story times because it gives me ideas of what to do with the kiddos.
Anyways, here's a few pictures.
Me and Kira clapping.
They sat with grandma and grandpa for a bit and then came over and snuggled with me.  :)

Flying the scarves around.
Kira surprised me by walking with me just holding one hand.  She just took off.  That's my "surprised" and "can you believe this??" face. :)
One determined little girl and leading the way.
We walked across the street and ate at the Local Loaf in the 7th Street Market place.  Blurry pic, but the food was so yummy.
My mom with her food.

One of the days, my mom and I painted our nails.  My mom was so sweet and gave me a fun gift that stencils flowers and other things on our fingernails.  It's pretty cool.  So in the picture you can kind of see my nails.  Hot pink, with a black nail that has a white flower on it.

Mom and Dad Visit

My parents came the end of March.  It was so fun to have them.  Isak and Kira warmed right up to them.  Kira kept giving them her toys and Isak just wanted to snuggle with them.
My mom took most of the pictures you will see.  But I snapped a few too.  :)
They both just wanted to be sitting on laps.
One morning we tried a new recipe with baked oatmeal and individual toppings.  They were pretty good.
We headed to the park on the nicest day they were here.  It was still pretty chilly.
I am not used to seeing myself in pictures because I am the one taking them.  Thanks for taking some mom.
The kids LOVE the park.  They get better and better at climbing and sliding every time we go.
Kira loves the slides.
Races.
Isak discovered the car steering wheel.  He thought it was pretty sweet.
Grandparents with the grandkids.
My mom even got to ride the cool motorcycle with Kira.
And of course swinging is a favorite.

Just look at those grins.
Fun to tease them.
Kira had grandma and grandpa wrapped around her fingers. :)

I look nervous and Isak looks ecstatic!  Going down the big swirly slide.
Phew, I made it. :)
We met up with Nels for some fantastic bbq at Jim n Nicks.
We spent lots of time just holding the babies, playing with them and relaxing.
Love this picture.  Beautiful mom/grandma and Kira.
More of our adventures to come.

Last day.

We took these last few pictures before we dropped them off at the airport.  I hate last days. :(  It was so good and fun to have them here.
