Kari's family spent two days in Chicago. They packed in a lot! Sear's Tower, Architectural Boat Tour, Science and Industry Museum and Cubs game. They spent the night downtown so they would have less traveling. Then on Wednesday, August 21 we met them at Six Flags. Oh, what a fun day. We rode a lot of rides. There was some rain, but it turned out ok. The kids were all troopers and I think they had a great time. Here's some pictures.
Iconic picture in front of the pool and double decker carousel.
Kari's older kids and Nels went on the big rollercoasters. Kari and I took the 6 younger kids around. Thankfully, there were a lot of rides for the littles! All four of my kids on the ladybug ride.
The carousel was a favorite again.
Kaden was so cute!
I held Noah and stood next to Sofie for the ride.
Here's Kari and Mason in front of the new ride Max Force.
Mason and Isak rode on a ride or two together.
Outside the X-Flight ride was this seat. The kids thought it was fun to sit in and take pictures.
Sadie.
Of course, Sofie had to join in the fun and had some helping hands to help her. 😀
Another photo op.
We rode in little planes with the littles. Here's Kari with her twins.Sofie was just tall enough to go on some of the little coasters. So I stayed with Noah and we played with the wheel.
Sofie and Noah can go on the crazy bus, but they wanted to watch the big kids this time.
Oops. "Don't cry over spilled popcorn" We chose to laugh about it.
I went on one big coaster with Mason and Kari. It was The American Eagle. So bumpy. I screamed, of course and tried not to bite my tongue on accident.
Another photo op with the big chair. 7 kids.
Ahhhhh!!
Another photo op. The kids thought this was so fun to sit on.
Here's the Little Dipper that Sofie got to ride on. She loved it and then thought she was big enough for the huge coasters. Haha. Not yet, Sofie!!
We can always tell when Sofie is done. Big Meltdowns. But she played hard all day!
Isak and Kira thoroughly enjoyed their cousins. Isak and Sadie held hands. 😀 Kira and Sadie would hold hands too. And sometimes all three of them held hands. They played pretty well together.
We ate a delicious meal at Red Robin before heading home. Great Day!
