October 1 - 7 Moments

October 1 - 7:
Our little moments:
Here's our version of snow.  I tell the kids, "Look!  Tennessee Snow!"  It's really cotton.  :)

Sofie and Noah made a snack for the kids to share.
Painting pumpkins with Sofie and Noah for their 3rd grade project.  You'll see the final product soon.
One night we had Sofie and Noah's STEAM night and Isak's choir concert.  We had to divide and conquer a little.  I took Sofie, Noah and Kira to Steam night.  Isak had to be an hour early to his concert, so Nels took Isak.

Here's Sofie and Noah with Baxter.
Here's their art work.
Here's their steam project, the boat library.

Here's Sofie's boat library.
Kira got to see her old teachers like Ms. Fletcher and they were all so happy to see her.  :)

Then we quickly drove to Isak's choir concert and made it there just in time.
It was so hard to get a good picture because the lights shone right on Isak's face!
But hopefully you can find him...first row, towards the middle, left side.

The concert was middle and high school performing.  Isak's class did three songs and they were great.  It was a wonderful concert.

And here are the pumpkins.  Sofie did Eva from Owl Diaries and Noah did Winnie the Pooh.  Kira helped with Pooh's face.  :)
Yay!

The ears fell off in the car on the way to school.  So I'm glad we got pictures before they took the pumpkins to school.
We saw a hot air balloon on the way to school.
Play dough time.
General Conference weekend.  Conference Bingo with cereal.
Lots of snuggles.  And I finished Noah's bear hat.  He wears it all of the time.  I'm so glad I made it for him.
Cinnamon rolls.  They were Yummy!

We put together our family photo puzzle too.

Kira and I carded and it was fun to do with her.  She has a crafter's heart!
Sofie made this fun game for us to play together.  She's always making fun things too.
We enjoyed conference weekend and the messages that were given.  I look forward to listening to them again!

Sept 8 - 30 Moments

Sept 9 - 30, 2024 - Moments

Just thought this was a sweet moment with Kira and Nels...

Pickleball mornings with Nels has been so fun!  If you can zoom in on the photo, you can see Nels's grin.  :)
Kira's pretty origami.
Picture day for Isak.  He's so handsome!

Neighbors hanging out with us.

Family bike ride in September.

We went a total of six miles.  We started at Cason Lane and biked to Old Fort for three miles...
Played at the Old Fort Playground...

Then we biked back three miles to the Cason Lane playground.
It was a fun bike ride.  Noah was so slow...I think it was his bike.  But we had fun together.  The other kids came and went to see how Noah and I were doing.  :)

I've been trying to make everyone's favorite meals.  Tonight was Sofie's.  Chicken pot pie.
Sept. 17 - Tuesday
Isak and Kira had a day off of school, but Sofie and Noah had school.  So we took Isak and Kira to the pickleball courts.  Kira and I did some origami when I wasn't playing.
We played with Randy and Jonathon.  We carpool to Central with them.

Then I took Kira shopping for winter clothes.  She's so fun to shop with.  We found some cute clothes.
Nels also got to go to a Weezer concert that night with his friend Clark (a roommate from BYU).

Sept. 18, 2024 - Wednesday
Temple day for me.
September 20, Friday
Sofie and Noah had now school, but Isak and Kira had school.  We had a fun day with our littles.
They played together...
Then I took them to Barfield Park to play and explore.

We found this old merry go round when we were hiking.

These two are fun to be with.
Kira's math homework.
Noah and I worked on this, when it wasn't my turn to play pickleball at the park.

Fun family pickleball and park outing.
My boys working on their kanoodles.
They also drew/colored these temples from the Friend magazine.
Birthday party for Kira's stuffed animal - Jalisca.  She planned the whole thing and we were all invited.  Snack, cake (pretend), gifts (I gave a quarter) and a game.
Pajama and stuffed animal day at school.  Yay!
Piano lessons.
Two friends and I got together for lunch.  I brought a deconstructed chicken and berry salad.
Friends - Shereece and Cecily.
Shereece made lemon orzo soup and corn bread.  Cecily made brownies.  It was all so yummy.  And fun to chat with them.
Just a pic of my cute kids on the way to school.
Our pickleball friend, Keith and Nels wore the same shirt.  :)
Kira's getting better and better at the trumpet.  Yay!
I get a quote of the day from the gospel app.  I've been enjoying it.
Noah and Sofie did a STEAM project.  It was a boat library.  They learned about how kids in other countries get their books.  One country does a boat library.  So for their project, they made boats that could carry 60 pennies.

Just being kids:
I made a strawberry margarita pie for our friend's Pie Night.
Pie Night was fun.  Nels and I enjoyed getting to know some new people and chatting with friends.  And of course, trying the ten or so different pies.
We also played a charades type game.
Raindrops on roses:

Sunday Best Photos.
Cute 11 year olds!

Sometimes it's hard to take a picture...
Pooh is a part of our family too.

Matching dresses for the girls.
Sister Bookclub.  One of my favorite hours of the month!
I took Sofie and Noah to Walmart to buy pumpkins.  You'll see what they used them for next month!
And that's all for September.
Sofie and Noah's Baptism. Playing lots of pickleball.  Kira's trumpet.  And lots of school.  :)
Nels is still looking for a job.  Lots of applications and interviews.  We pray a lot for a new job that will be good for him and our family.  Hopefully, something comes soon!
