Pottawatomie Park

Our family went to Pottawatomie Park one beautiful fall afternoon.  It was such a delightful outing.  All of the kids were good and didn't whine.  And I didn't bring a diaper bag!!!  What?!  That's a first and it was so nice.

We spent two hours there as a family exploring the area.
We climbed this tall tower.

And enjoyed the view.

See the footbridge in the background.  We walked across it.
This is the view from the bridge to see the tower.
The kids just loved running around.
And sometimes they held my hand too.
Here we are walking across the bridge.
Nels and I walked together.  Here's our feet, haha.

Kira and Sofie.
Kira.
Three of the four kids.
Noah joined us.  Kira made a heart with her hands.  ðŸ’•
Kira took this pic of me...
I took this picture of Nels.  :)
Isak.

Noah.
My sweet girls holding hands as they walk to the playground.
It was an awesome playground.  Noah learned to climb a ladder so he could go down the big slide.  I was so proud of him.

We found red leaves and acorns that Sofie and Noah took to school to show their teachers.
Really great time together.  Sofie and Noah climbed on this red bench and asked me to take their picture.  I love when the kids WANT their picture taken...even if they don't look at the camera.
I'm so glad we took the time to enjoy the beautiful fall weather.

Enjoying the Fall Weather

One morning at the bus stop, Isak and Kira said, "Look at the moon!"  They were so amazed and asked me to take a picture.  I love that they notice and appreciate these types of things.

All bundled up and ready to go to school.  As the weather transitioned from hot to warm to cold, we always guessed what to wear, coat, jacket or nothing?

A colder day, we went to the park nearby us.  We needed to get out for a bit.

Pretty sky.  Do you see Isak on the bench?
We had just got some books from the library and he was very into his chapter book.  He asked if he could just read his book at the park.  It made me smile...He did play for a bit too.
Noah likes to twirl Sofie on this toy.  See the leaves on the trees in the background?  So pretty.
Snuggles with my Noah boy.  I love that he'll just come snuggle for a bit with me and then he goes and plays again.
Our tree in front of our house.
I absolutely love this red leafed tree!
Isak liked to jump and grab the leaves.
I took the kids on a one mile loop near our house.  They each walked the whole thing and very little whining.  It was awesome and so enjoyable.

We liked the crunchy leaves.

And the sky was gorgeous.  It was a beautiful day for a walk.

Little Noah with a beautiful sky.
Another day, we went to a new park.  Big Woods Park.  The kids had a great time exploring this cool park.

There was a walking trail too.  So we walked around it.

Sofie and Nels were friends.
A big pile of rocks to run on... Yay!
These two Orange/gold leafed trees!!!  ðŸ’•

I was driving home from the library and took this picture while I waited at the stoplight.  Just love all the leaves.  Fall is a pretty season.
