Strawberries Galore!

Last Saturday was super fun!  It is strawberry season around here and so we decided to take advantage of all things strawberry.  Starting with strawberry ice cream!
There's a little place called the Peach Stand that has produce from local farmers and fresh strawberry ice cream.
The kids LOVED it!
Kira is reaching for the ice cream cone...she was a little mad I set it down in order to take a picture.
Good thing Nels is talented and got her the ice cream cone before a meltdown happened. :)
I got to eat some too.
Mmmmmm.  Kira and I both wore our hair in pig tails.  Nels's favorite...yes, Nels has favorite hairstyles. :)
Isak took eating ice cream very seriously.
I loved this cute little chair Kira was sitting in.
Glare.
Laugh.  :)  Oh and notice the pink spoon.  She is attached to it and it comes everywhere with us.
There's my boys.

Tried to get us all in there...
Me and Kira.
Then we went to the strawberry patch to pick these yummy red berries!

Isak was very serious about this too.  He would not eat the strawberries.  We would give one to him to eat and he put it in the box.  No eating on the job!  He ate a ton later though.
Kira was a little nervous at first.

But then she got the hang of it.
And she just loved eating the berries.
Oh yeah!
Shove it in there Kira girl.
All the way in there.
Her mouth is way full.
Juice coming out everywhere, but she'll just wipe her face with her arm...
Here's the serious pickers. :)
Someone was kind and took our family picture.

Oh dear, isn't she just darling?!!

After we picked berries, we went to a park for our first family picnic.  So fun!
While the kids ran around, Nels practiced his one arm pictures.  Not too bad.
Kira decided to see what was going on.
Kissy, kissy.
Isak was sooooo happy.
He waved at the older kids running around.
And just smiled and watched.
And he ran after them too.  :)
It was a wonderful day.  We all took naps and then ate an early Mother's Day dinner at Outback Steakhouse.
The End. :)

April Randoms

Here's a few pictures from April.
Far Mor and Far Far gave Isak and Kira these cute snuggle pillow blankets.  The kids LOVE them!  Look at Isak's big grin. :)

We went to the church activity.  That's a big deal for us...haha...doing anything is a big deal now!  Anyways, we made about 70 Swedish meatballs and bought some Swedish fish too.  The Bishop is also Swedish so his family helped with the table too by making Swedish shortbread.
Here's our little helpers.
Our table and Nels, a proud Swede. :)
The meatballs.
It was a fun night and I am glad we made the effort and participated.  I even wore Swedish colors.
So when we go outside, I usually read a book while I watch the kids play. So I thought it was funny when Kira just sat in her chair and read a book too.
While we read Isak got busy with the Jeep.
Then he saw me taking pictures and got mad and came to get me.  You can see Kira in the background still reading.
We went to the park as a family one day.  These kids are so adventuresome.  They both went down the big slide!  And I was the one freaking out!  They both wanted to climb up it and go down again.
Our boy.
Our girl.
Driving is serious business.

Crawling through the tunnel.
Caught my Isak for a quick hug.
Ah!  The big slide.
Kira trying really hard to climb up the slide.
I tried to get a picture with all of us...it was time to go home because Kira is crying.   I didn't manage to get Isak in the picture.  :(
But this one melted my heart.
Fun times.  There were many April showers and now we are enjoying the May flowers.  :)
