My friend Lori made these adorable outfits.
Thanks Lori!

3 Generations
I love generation pictures.
Here's Robert Nels Nyborg Jr., Nels Knute Nyborg and Isak Nels Nyborg. 3 Nels's! Nels's grandpa's name was Robert Nels Nyborg Sr. and Great Grandpa Nils Nyborg. I'm not sure why the name changed from Nils to Nels. Yes, that's a lot of Nels's. :)
Us girls didn't want to be left out so we took a picture too.
Kira Daisy is named after my great grandmother Daisy Peterson and my middle name is Daisy too.
I wish I had thought to take generation pictures when my parents were here. Remind me to do that when we come visit-okay mom?! :)
First Christmas
We are going through a lot of Firsts at our house. It's fun and exciting. Everything is so new and adventurous. At least I try to have this frame of mind. :)
After my family left, Nels's mom Donna happily came down to help us for three weeks. She is amazing and jumped right in to help. We experienced a few firsts while Donna was here. Some include: first Christmas, first trip to Costco (which included changing the babies diapers on the back seat of the van...the van was parked and we were safe, and I'm glad the babies were good. :), first trip to Red Robin and Barnes and Nobles, first double blow outs in Barnes and Nobles requiring a change of outfits...haha, memories. I love when the twins have synchronized poopy diapers. Sorry there's a lot of poo mentioned here...but it's a big part of our lives right now. :)
90% of the previous pictures were taken with my mom's iPhone. (Thanks Mom!) So I don't have a lot of pictures for the next three weeks. But here's a few:
For Christmas Eve dinner we went to a yummy Mexican restaurant called La Siesta. The babies were angels and we enjoyed eating and eating. I love their fried ice cream!
Here's Kira in her elf hat sleeping at the restaurant:
Nels and his mom.Isak sleeping...I forgot to put his elf hat on. :(
The babies in their Christmas pajamas. Poor Isak...but he still looks cute with his crying.

Grandparents and babies.
The boys took over Christmas dinner and I think they should do it every year. It was DELICIOUS! Nels grilled Filet Mignon perfectly.
Baked potato, broccoli, and rosemary bread.
That's all for Christmas. It was a great day and even better with the babies. We are just so thankful for them! Okay...so I'm trying to do a blogging marathon. I'm going to do as many posts as possible. We'll see how far I get today. :) Hope you enjoy!

1 Month Christmas Pictures
My sister Jenny and I made these cute elf hats for the twins to wear for pictures. Then on December 11 in the afternoon we decided to set up a photo shoot. We taped wrapping paper to the wall (pinterest idea). And this is how the babies started out:
They were not happy! haha. We persevered though and after some cuddling, milk and diaper changes we got some great pictures. Here's a few of my favorites:
Sleeping Beauty Kira Girl.
I tied a pink bow around her wrist, but I think you can tell who is Kira and who is Isak without it. Kira is just all girl and Isak is all boy....at least that's what I see. :)
We took several (probably 50 pictures hehee.) more, and then she was done...And then Sleeping Prince Isak Boy was ready...
Doesn't he just melt your heart?
Then both babies were finally asleep at the SAME time!
Caught Kira's adorable dimple! Yes!
I think this was the closest we had the twins together. I think they enjoyed it.
I love how Isak has his foot propped up on Kira and Kira is resting her hand on the pom pom.
Synchronized Yawning!
A little tussle:
Each getting a hit in.
And this was the last picture before we called it a day:
We put them in cozy clothes, wrapped them up and placed them in their bouncy seats; where they took a nice long, comfortable nap.
Thanks Mom and Jenny for capturing great pictures of the twins at 1 month old!

Our First Month
The first month with the babies was hard. I don't know how else to describe it. But don't get me wrong, I loved every minute of it. I am so thankful for the help of our families through this time. We seriously could not do it without them. Who knew feeding, holding, changing and bathing babies was so much work! :) Here's a few highlights of the first month:
I loved seeing Isak and Kira sleep. They shared a crib until they were about 3 months old.
Our first batch of help included my Mom, Dad and sister Jenny. They helped a ton with the babies. My Dad stayed two weeks and then flew back home and let Mom and Jenny stay for 3 more weeks. Then he flew back to Memphis and drove them back home to Idaho. Wow! What a trooper he was! My Dad was just awesome and I loved having him here. He stayed up late with the babies to feed them with my sister Jenny. He was always doing something from cleaning my kitchen floors to painting our dresser. The dresser he painted was Nels's old dresser that I hated. But my dad sanded it and painted it a pretty white. Now I love it. I'll have to post a before and after picture some day.Grandpa holding Isak and Grandma holding Kira:

My dear sister Jenny came too. I'm so happy and grateful she came. I had not seen her for almost 2 years. She had just returned from her mission so I was so excited to hear all about it and get to know her again. She was that extra spice or sugar that I needed. She was wonderful with the babies and so patient. Isak and Jenny were pals, and Jenny doted on princess Kira. I was so impressed with my little sister. She may be shorter than me and younger than me, but I sure do look up to her. While she was here she went out with the sister missionaries, went to the temple and even went on a date. :) We learned how to play guitar together and belted out Away in a Manager a zillion times. She also crocheted the cute elf hat for the babies 1 month pictures. Thanks for coming Jenny!!!

How about Nels...What a DAD! He jumped in with both feet. He saved up all his vacation days so he could be with the babies as much as possible. But eventually he had to go back to work. He left the house with a smile and came home with a smile. Inevitably when he would walk in the door after work, one or both of the babies would be crying. I don't miss those evening fussy times! He'd almost always take the crying baby before he even changed his clothes. A saying of Nels's is "Eat your 2 ounces!" Kira lost a lot of her birth weight and went under 5 lbs. In an effort to help her gain weight, Nels would try so hard to get her to eat 2 ounces. He changed the movie quote from Better of Dead of "2 Dollars, Give me my 2 dollars." to "2 ounces, Eat your 2 ounces!"' :) Oh and he would make Kira and Isak do the Kira jig and the Isak jig to help them wake up and finish their feeding. Nels was always full of tricks and fun. I'm so glad to be doing this with him! :)
Me and Isak:
Some Random Happenings the First Month:
3 Doctor Visits
2 Days for Newborn Photo Shoot
1 Holiday - Thanksgiving
~ 600 diaper changes
2 dates with Nels
Lots of baths and tummy time
Lots of snuggles
Isak and Kira doing tummy time. Kira loved it...Isak either cried or fell asleep.
One of their first outfits. If I remember right I put them on for Thanksgiving. But they only lasted a few hours in them...poo, spit up...who knows.
Nels "watching" the babies. He hated to leave them. Isak and Kira Loved to sleep in their bouncy seats. Now they love to eat in them.Isak:

Newborn Photo Shoot
About ten days after our babies were born we had a photo shoot. My friend Alyssa did it as her gift to me. Wow! I just LOVE these pictures. I posted some on Facebook, but here's more. :) Enjoy!
My favorite ice cream yet!
Love this Isak face!
For the first couple of weeks we had to wrap Kira with at least one of her arms up by her face. In her ultrasound pictures she always had an arm up too!
mmmm. I love their little feet and toes.
I had to have a crying picture to remind me that it's not smiles all of the time. But even these little crying faces melt my heart. I just love these babies!
Hope you enjoyed!
