Outside Outings in April - Part 1

Thanks to the quarantine and we tried our best to get outside whenever possible.  We found some new places to explore and walk around.   We drove to the other side of our community to find another loop trail and we found the neighborhood fairy garden.  The fairy garden has become a frequent destination for us.  I loved these trees.
Here's the fairy garden.

Noah is so funny and I loved catching Sofie and Kira holding hands.
Happy...

Sad...
Kind of happy...
Kira with her heart sunglasses.
Sofie with her outfit she picked out herself...
Off we go.  They are good walkers.
Lots of times we go to the "Big Rock."  You'll see a lot of pictures on the rock...

Sometimes we take the stroller and Kira and Isak ride their scooters or bikes.
"The bench" is another stopping place...

Sofie gets creative in how she rides in the stroller.

Sometimes I hop in the picture...

Sometimes we just play in the backyard and that counts too.  Noah has started to enjoy this red balance bike.
Isak pushes Sofie in the swing.  Kira pumps her swing super high.
We tried putting Sofie and Noah in the bike trailer one time.  It was terrible and lasted a half mile before Nels turned around and took them home.  They are just too big to be in it together and they did NOT like sitting that close to each other.
So I rode with Isak and Kira to the fairy garden...It's a three mile ride round trip.
They all like to ride something though...Isak - bike, Kira - scooter, Sofie - balance bike, Noah - the old Jeep.
Dad - on his bike...and we're off.  This time...Isak and Dad rode off together and I went with the other three.

Balance on the wall.
Most of our outings we go at least one mile round trip.  Longer ones are three miles.

This day - Noah got so mad because the kids kept stepping on his shadow!! Haha!!
We loved visiting the fairy garden so much we decided to make one in our backyard.  I bought the little houses from the dollar store.  The plants are strawberry and lavender.  Sadly, the lavender plant died during a late cold week.  I need to buy a new plant for the pot.

We also painted some rocks.
Noah loves to be on this balance bike.  Sofie and Noah fight over it all the time...but sometimes they share and take turns so sweetly.
Love these three year olds...

They are growing up and love to be active and practice their gross motor skills.
Here's dad and Kira.  That's been a fun part of Nels working from home.  He can sneak away and enjoy a bike ride with the kids.
This time we took one stroller, one bike and one scooter.
Isak ended up pushing Sofie in the stroller.  So cute.
Big Rock photo.

Funny Noah.

We spied the blossoms on this tree on our way home from the walk.
And this is only half the month!  A Part 2 Outings for April will be posted later.  :)

Sunday Easter Photos

Before we had church at home, we took some pictures outside.  I got a few good ones.  Yay!

Here's my boys...
Nels tried to take one with me and the kids, but they weren't cooperating very well for it.
Kira was so cute and posed sweetly with her dad.
And me.
I did a selfie with Sofie.
Noah was silly one minute and sad the next.

Oh these girls!
💕 Love this one.
Isak jumped in.  :)
Noah was still not sure about all of this...
Selfie with my Isak boy.
I bought this new dress from Downeast.  I like it.
Handsome boy!
Squishy face.
Happy face.
I tried to get one with Sofie and Noah together... this was the best one.
Isak and Kira did a little better.
Isak took this one for us.
Us girls with our matching bead bracelets that we made that morning.
Sweet Kira.
I really like the next two of Sofie and Kira together.

Sofie with her dad.
And last but not least...All of us together.  Thanks to a tripod and timer.  :)  ðŸ’•
Everyone was happy when I said, "okay, I think that's enough."

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter!  We had a fun Easter.  Here's what the Easter Bunny left the kids.  Isak got a nerf gun, Noah got Catboy, Sofie and Kira got a Hatchimal, butterfly wings and a notebook.  They all got crafting aprons, sidewalk chalk, bubbles and beads to make bracelets.  We also shared the marshmallow eggs.

We all slept in for Easter, which was a welcomed surprise.  Isak thinks he heard the Easter Bunny in the morning.  :)  Once all the kids were up, we lined up and raced down the stairs.  They enjoyed their non-candy gifts.  Then they ran around and found all the eggs.

They were quick and so cute to watch.
Sofie had fun making a pattern out of her stash.
Our sweet neighbors surprised us with an egg hunt on our front yard.  They had fun finding the eggs outside!  They loved finding quarters in some of the eggs!

They beaded their bracelets.

Nels made us German pancakes and french toast for breakfast.
We had church at home.  We sang "Gethsemane" and other songs.

Noah loves his Catboy- from PJ Masks.
Sofie gave me a cute sad face...
and a nice happy face.
Part of church was doing the 12 eggs of Easter as a family.  We took turns opening an egg, reading a scripture and talking about it.
I taught the older kids and Nels taught the Sunbeam class.  :)  When I got done teaching, I found Noah fast asleep on the floor.  ðŸ’•  Easter wore him out!
Here's our very limited Easter decor...this year I added the countdown on the string with clothespins.
