The Zoo

I felt ambitious one day and took the kids on an adventure.  We went to the Phillips Park Zoo in Aurora.  

It was actually a sad little zoo.  I felt bad for the animals.  😢

We saw a bald eagle, 1 wolf, some snakes, turtles, elk, chickens, different birds/owls and a llama and goats...not too much...

Then we played at the playground for a while.  We ate snacks and the kids loved this digger shovel toy.

They got to have fruit roll ups for a fun treat.

We walked through the garden on our way to the car.  It was a small zoo, but we enjoyed being together.
