Natural Bridge Beach

One weekend in September we left our boxes behind for a relaxing time at the beach.  We drove to the Santa Cruz area and played at the Natural Bridge State Beach.
Here's a few pictures of our outing.
The older twins were delighted to be able to play in the sand.  It was windy and chilly so no swimsuits.
Nels and I sat in our camping chairs and fed the babies.

It was nice to feed the babies with such a pretty view to enjoy.
We walked around the beach a little bit.  We bought these carriers and they worked out great!  It helped to be able to carry a baby and have two free hands.
Isak enjoyed digging in the sand.
We took some pictures by the natural rock bridge.

And then back to playing in the sand.

The babies even fell asleep in the carriers.  It was nice.  Look at that sweet pyramid someone built in the background of this picture.

Family beach picture.  We'll take what we can get.  :)

The lighting isn't that great.  But here we are together with the babies.  Isak and Kira were playing in the sand near us.

We drove along Cliff Drive.  Gorgeous.  There's a little lighthouse.
Here's the cliffs.  There is a trail you can walk/bike on that goes along the cliffs too.
And then some sailboats.  Just a beautiful place.
We relaxed and just enjoyed our time...forgetting about all of the unpacking and cleaning that we left at home.  I loved that we all smelled like the salty ocean, even the babies.  I'm glad we went...because the packing got done eventually.  :)
