Discovery Center - August 2023

While Nels and Isak went to Costco and the guitar store...I took Kira, Sofie and Noah to the free day at Discovery Center.

We had fun exploring.

Everyone wanted something from the gift shop.  These are cute puppets!

It was Indian themed...

We played an Indian game that was kind of like Chutes and Ladders.  I think it was called Snakes and Ladders.

We colored an elephant and the Indian flag.  These beautiful girls were the helpers.  It was fun to talk with them and learn about their culture.

Noah and Sofie loved the conveyor belt.

School! - August 2023

The kids started school Monday, Aug 7th!  We attended the school open house Thursday, Aug 3rd.

We found out their new teachers and classrooms.

Kira has Mrs. Fletcher for 5th grade.

Isak has Mrs. Stephens for 5th grade.

Sofie and Noah have Mrs. Phimmachack for 2nd grade.

Mrs. Phimmachack gave Sofie and Noah a pop it with a note that said, "Thanks for Popping in."  :)

All of their teachers seem super nice and they were excited to start school!  Yay!

One Friday, they had a camaraderie day.  They wore camo or green if they had it and did team building activities.  Kira is the one in the tie dye jacket and green dress.

Overall, it's been a great start to the school year.  I'm proud of them for going and navigating public school.

A Sunday in July.

More slime...

This time it's bubble slime!!  It was so cool and fun.  The kids loved it.

Isak helped make cookies while the girls made bubble slime.

On July 31, we went to Red Robin to get my birthday burger.  This picture makes me laugh.

Happy Birthday to me.  It was delicious.  

Yay!  Red Robin.  We still enjoy eating there.
