May 1 - 9th: Moments: Garage Sale, Band Concert, Campout, Bike Ride

May 1 - 9th Moments:
We started the month of May with a neighborhood garage sale.  We didn't have anything big to sell.  I just set out clothes that the kids had grown out of.  Kira and Sofie had spent the week making bracelets and homemade stickers.  There were not a lot of people that came to the garage sale.  But the girls did sell a few things and we sold some of the clothes.  It was fun to see the girls interact and help the customers that did come.  :)

Kira made the origami bags and stickers.  Sofie made the bracelets.
Nels and I enjoyed a Cinco De Mayo celebration with our pickleball friends.  We ate yummy Mexican food and I made Brookies for a dessert.
We played trivia and musical Bingo.  We had a great time.

We went to Stake Conference together.  Thankfully, Kira brought a blanket.  It was freezing!!  Noah brought his monkey, haha.  Whatever helps them get through church. :)
Sofie requested chicken pot pie...
Not the best picture, but here's my Brookie.  Brownie on the bottom and chocolate chip cookie on the top.  Mmmmm.
Just thought this moment was sweet.  Isak was playing the piano with two stuffies (Dumbo and Henry the sloth) and Noah was doing a strategy puzzle.
Sweet Sofie all ready for bed.  She made her doll Samantha a sleeping mask too.  💛
May 4 -
Kira had her final 7th grade Band Concert.  They played three songs and did a great job!
They played on the auditorium stage, so I couldn't see her...but here's the band.
A few pictures afterwards.

Her two best friends, Shree and Penny.
Great work Kira!!
I tried something new.  I drove up to Nashville and played pickleball at Pickleball Kingdom.  It's an indoor pickleball place.
It was pretty fun.  I played some good games.  It was a 40 minute drive and $16 to play.  I don't know if I'll do it very often.  Maybe if the weather is rainy and I really wanted to play, then it's a good option.
We gave our traditional cookies for Teacher Appreciation week.
May 8 -
Field Day for Sofie and Noah!
I stopped by and took a few pictures and watched them do the gunny sack, throw a football and frisbee.
Here's Sofie with her friend Sudeeksha.
And her friend Lilly.

Nels took the girls camping with his friend Clark and his daughter Addison.  It was a one nighter and they had a great time.

First time using this tent that we purchased four years ago.  Haha!  It was huge and it seemed to work well.

Grilled cheese for dinner.
Night, night.
Nels made them pancakes for breakfast.

They helped pack and load the car.

Then they came home.  This is my favorite picture.  Addison took it.  💜
While they were gone, I took the boys on an 8 mile bike ride.
Vroom!

They were so fun to be with.

After four miles we stopped at a playground.

They played for a little while.
We navigated the big rocks.
Then played some frisbee.  That was my favorite part.  We had fun throwing the frisbee to each other.  It was nice to be in an open space for a while.
Snacks on the bench...then we rode four miles back home.
We stopped and tossed rocks into the river.
