February 1 - 13, 2026:
Here's our little moments the first two weeks of February.
A little snow... on our way to church.
Noah gave a great FHE lesson by using an object lesson. He had a rock and sponge. He asked which one looks strong? Weak? The water was absorbed by the sponge and helped it to change. With Jesus he can make weak things strong and change us for the better. It went along with Enoch and Moses 6. I made waffles, including heart waffles.
Sofie really enjoyed them.
Sofie, Noah and I enjoyed reading our books during Kira and Isak's piano lessons.
Noah decided he was "sick" one day. So we spent the day together. Breakfast...and a game of Mancala. He beat me twice!!
Then Skip-Bo. He's holding cards 6 & 7.
Then he got his bear and watched a bear movie. I think it was Brother Bear 2. He felt much better by the end of the day and went to school the next day. I enjoyed my one on one time with him.
Sofie is practicing typing and rocking it. Sofie and Noah both bought a keyboard and mouse that connect to their Kindles.
The best news: My sister Jenny's husband came home from Korea after 9 months of service!! So happy for her and her adorable family.
Pretty Kira practicing the piano.
Sofie and Noah's class were given the assignment of making a Valentine box. Sofie made the cutest panda with purple accents.
Cute Sofie with her panda box.
I was invited to a Galentine's party. I brought this for the food.
It was such a fun party. Cool drinks...I didn't have one...but they sure looked pretty. :)
Food spread...
Cute tomato hearts.
My plate of food. I ate a few plate fulls. So good.
Then we played some games. We played a card game called Ripple.
And a game called Coyote and another card game. Coyote was hilarious!! I loved it so much that I ended up buying Coyote for our family to play.
We played a money game and Joyce won! It was fun to play games and laugh and be with my pickleball friends. Yes, this group of gals is part of our pickleball group. So fun!
Nels and I had an early Valentine's Day dinner at Outback Steakhouse. I loved the filet mignon. Mmmmm. It was wonderful to be with Nels in one of our favorite restaurants.
On a Sunday...Our car battery decided to die. It happened at a great place though, the church parking lot. We had lots of help and got up and running quickly. We got home. Nels turned the car off and then tried to turn it back on. No luck. So he went to Costco in the other car and got a new battery. Now Goldie is working again and ready for all of the driving Monday morning.
Us girls all wore buns for church.
Nels and I finished the gingerbread 500 piece puzzle that we got from the library. Yay!
Pretty Sofie.
Pretty Kira
Ready for a walk around the block.
I earned the 500 total workout badge from Bodi.
Sofie and Noah are learning the ukulele at school. So fun to hear them play it.
Noah made a goofy face. Haha.
I took Sofie and Noah to Walmart to pick out valentine's for their class. They ended up picking gummy bears and sweethearts
We took pictures of stuffed animals we loved, but didn't buy.
I got to go to Sofie and Noah's school to play tailgate games during their gym class. It was so fun to spend time with them at school.
Football toss.
Ladder game.
Corn hole.
Carlos is Noah's friend. It was nice to meet some of their friends.
Nels brought home another guitar to try out. Pretty color.
Sofie and Noah were patient and played this game. They got all of the pieces to suspend.

Sofie and Noah had their Valentine's Day party at school. Sofie looked adorable in her heart shirt.
They had a great party.
So cute.
Kira looked so cute in pink and we did her hair in bubble braids.
We celebrated Valentine's on Friday, the 13th, because the 14th was going to be busy. So I set up the Valentine's stuff...
They each got some candy. Isak - Kit Kats and a heart box of chocolates. Kira - Ghirardelli's Chocolate Caramel and a heart box of chocolates. Sofie - Yorks and a heart box of chocolates. Noah - Sour Patch kids and a bag of white donuts. I also had strawberry covered pretzels, store bought sugar cookies and I made peanut butter Hershey kiss cookies.
They were happy. :)

My mom sent me this beautiful card with a sweet message.
I was eating breakfast one morning and decided that I really didn't like our family room. So I took pictures of it and asked ChatGPT...how can I make this room more warm and cozy?
And then I did what it suggested. It suggested to move the couch from the wall and move it closer to the sectional. Then the wall was empty, so I thought it would be perfect for the piano! So I moved the piano and I am so happy with it. I was amazed at how much cozier the room felt just by rearranging the furniture!

I love it so much better and so does the rest of the family. There are still things I'd love to buy and do to make it even better, but I'm happy with the change. And I've enjoyed seeing and hearing the kids play the piano.
And that's all for February 1-13.
