Sofie and Noah's class:

October 17:

Primary was in charge of the ward halloween party. Our president did most of the work. She's amazing. I just showed up and helped set up and did a few other things.

Each of the tables had a guess the amount of candy in the jar.

We made some chili and dressed up and went to the church party. Milk and cookie, a witch and a skeleton. :)

I even decorated our trunk this year. The second time I've done trunk decor. The first time was the giant mouth with a red tongue and white teeth. This time, I found a kit on Amazon and it turned out pretty well. I actually had fun doing it!

We handed out candy and glow sticks.

Kira had a plate of chips and sweets. :)

Isak and Nels tried many of the chilis.

We had a great night eating and being with our church friends.

The kids favorite part is setting up their candy and trading. Fun night!

I was in charge of the girls activity days and we made gourmet caramel apples. It was so fun and yummy.

October 22:

Nels's birthday! Nels took the day off and the kids actually had the day off for parent/teacher conference. Nels and I played some pickleball. Not a great picture. But he's smiling!!

We got donuts!

The kids made this awesome poster to surprise Nels.

He loved it.

We fed everyone lunch. Then Nels and I drove to the Tennis store in Franklin. They let you rent pickleball paddles. So we each chose two paddles to rent and try out. Then we took Isak to tennis. We had fun watching him for a few minutes.

Then we went to Red Robin. Yum!

Nels got the pulled pork hamburger. I got the A1 steakhouse burger. Isak got a tavern burger. Sofie and Noah got mac and cheese. Kira got the oreo shake. It was all delicious.

Nels's mom sent him this awesome apron that she sewed! I think Nels had a great birthday. Oh, he also got an apple pie from Costco. :)

Noah's school work:

Sofie is doing dance, so I get a little one on one time with her as I drive her to and from dance. I've been enjoying that time together. She's a sweetie.

October 24:

Boo Bash at Salem Elementary.

Sofie, Noah, Kira and I braved the long line and did the Boo Bash at their school. It was fun to see all of the decorations and their friends.

Buc-ee's is really big around here. Haha.

Kira and I made Christmas cards together. My mom sent me a paper pumpkin kit. So fun!

October 28:

After I dropped off the Central kids, I heard a weird sound. Thump, thump. So I pulled over and sure enough a sharp thing was stuck in my back drivers side tire. I kept driving, hoping to get to Costco. But after a mile or two the sharp thing came out and the tire went flat on a busy street. I pulled over and called roadside assistance. Meanwhile, an employee of Lee HVAC Services (near where I had pulled over) came out and helped me. He helped me get the van into the parking lot of Lee HVAC and then he changed my tire for me! So nice! I cancelled the roadside assistance and was able to drive to Costco. Sadly, Costco didn't have my tire in stock so I had to come back later. I snuck a pic of the guy who helped me.
