Spring Break Adventure to Nashville
We headed to Nashville for some fun.Our main event was Dave & Busters. And we had a blast!
Minecraft:
Hungry Hippo:
Kira and Nels did guitar hero.
Motorcycle for Sofie and Nels.
Here's the crane duck...
Machine gun game. Noah and Isak played this one for a while.
Nels and I played bowling, bean bag toss and basketball together. We liked Fruit Ninja too.
I did Mario Cart with Sofie.
Then they shopped with their tickets. I think we had about 2100 tickets. So not as many as last time we went at Chattanooga. But the kids liked picking out things. Isak got 2 tootsie pops and a push up sucker. Noah got a shark squishy plush. Sofie chose a slinky and a little plastic teddy bear. Kira chose a unicorn squishy plush.
Then we went to Red Robin, yum!
Kira got a caramel pretzel shake.
Isak tried the hot wings. We enjoyed our food and time together.
Pretty blossoms and pretty Kira.

Old Stone Fort State Park
I took the kids 45 minutes south to Old Stone Fort State Park. It was a great park with a trail that had three waterfalls in 1.4 miles. It was hot - 82 degrees! Here's pictures from our adventure:
There was a small visitor center too. We learned that some of the trail that we hiked was used by Native Americans as a ceremonial site. There were mounds that were significant to the Native Americans.
This is the Dam.
Here's the trail...
Step Falls:
Pretty flowers.
Big Falls:
Blue Hole Falls
It was a super easy, flat hike (unless, you climb to the waterfalls, then it's rocky.) and very fun. Glad we explored the area.
After the hike, we were going to eat our picnic lunch outside, but it was so hot. So we ate in the car while I drove home.

Then we got Nels and drove 25 minutes to Nash Family Creamery. This was a fun and yummy place. Sofie is my ice cream girl. Look at her...shirt and hat with ice cream!
Kira got salted caramel ice cream.
Noah got a chocolate chip cookie.

The rest of us shared the Cow Trough. 7 scoops of ice cream, 4 brownies, hot fudge and caramel sauce. These were the flavors: blueberry, banana pudding, strawberry, cookies and cream, pecan, butter bread and brownie batter. Mmmmm.
Noah with his cookie...half eaten.
Kira with her ice cream.
It's a cute place and just out in the country.
A little play area and playground nearby. We played corn hole.
I took pictures. :)
