Back to School

Yes, it's that time...back to school.  Isak and Kira had supply drop off the day before school.  So I took the crew by myself to meet their new teacher and drop off supplies.  Here's our bags of supplies.
This is their first grade teacher - Mrs. Beckman.  So far they really like her.  Yay!
I pampered Kira for school.  We painted her nails.  She wanted a pattern with blue and pink nail polish.  She even drew it out for me so I wouldn't mess it up.  She picked out her new shirt at the store for the first day of school.  And then we curled her hair all up.  She posed this way all on her own.  So cute!!
Isak picked out his first day of school shirt from the store too.  Not too much pampering for him, but I gave him some extra hugs.
Of course, Sofie and Noah saw what was happening and had to copy them.  They both grabbed their backpacks and Sofie tried to pose like Kira.

And Noah too.  :)
All of them ready to go for Isak and Kira's first day of first grade.

Isak and Kira were so ready for this day.  They were so excited to be in first grade!!!
We met our neighbors at the bus stop.
I didn't go over to the school on the first day.  But my two neighbors watched over Kira and Isak and took pictures of them.

They had a great first day. And they have been enjoying school.

Sofie and Noah are off on a new adventure as well.  They got accepted into the Early Childhood Center preschool.  They are also working on their speech with a therapist at the school.  So I took them to their supply drop off day.  As we walked to the school, they held hands.  My heart melted!!  So Cute!

Big backpacks on the little kids.  But the school requested full size backpacks be sent to school.
Here's the bulldog outside the school.  They love to say hello and pet it.
I dropped off the supplies and then the kids got to explore their classrooms and meet their teachers.  They got to watercolor.
Sofie was super happy about that.
Sofie and Noah are in separate classrooms.  So that's new for me.  The twins have always been together.  But it's working out all right.

They also got to see the bus and sit on it.  This totally helped them to be prepared for their first day of school.  And of course, it helped me to see where they will be too!
Holding hands again.  This time it was after we picked up Isak and Kira from the bus stop.
I just love that!
Sometimes if we are early, then I take their picture before the bus comes.  I just think they look adorable.

And here's Noah for his first day of preschool!!!  He didn't want to wear his backpack for some reason??
Here's Sofie.  She was soooo excited.  Noah was more nervous.

They went on the bus.  Noah cried a little, but then he did great.  And then they came back home to me!  I was so proud of them.

We went for a little walk while we waited for the bus for Isak and Kira.  Noah was being an airplane.

So proud of Noah for going to school!!!
Second day of school for them.  Noah was feeling a little better!  No crying and he got on the bus well.  Sofie did great again.

Another week later and they are pros at going to school.
When we are early, we take more pictures.  haha.

Isak and Noah were matching dinosaurs.  "Roar" they yelled.
And that's all the school pictures.  It's definitely an adjustment for all of us.  I think they are getting better at it every day.

Baseball Game

Through the summer reading program at the library we got free tickets to the Cane Cougar Baseball game.
On a Wednesday night we all went to the game.  We had great seats too.
Me and the girls!
The boys.
Sofie and Noah were wild.  It was difficult with the three year olds, but at least they were happy and goofy instead of crying and whining!
See this goofy Noah boy!!
I tried to get a selfie with all of us in it.
Kira..
We got the classics for treats at the game...Cracker Jacks.
And Cotton Candy.  Sofie was watching Isak...haha.

Overall, the kids did great.  The Cougars won 3 to 1.  We even stayed until the end - 9:30 p.m.  That's a late night for us!  We were feeling it the next day.  I'm glad we got to do this traditional summer outing.  And the weather was perfect!!
