March Wrap Up

Random pictures for March.

I thought Kira looked so cute sitting in the rocking chair with her blanket.

Isak found a new purpose for the tent...hide out underneath the tent.

Kira decided to hang out there too....but not under the tent.
I have a climber and a collector...
He is pretty good at climbing and getting down.  But I still hold my breath when he does it.
Kira loves to collect things.  She is carrying around 3 buckets.
One Sunday morning, I went to get Kira out of her crib and found her covered in vomit.  Gross.  Bathed Immediately.  To help keep hydrated the kids enjoyed popsicles.

Luckily, Isak didn't catch the flu and Kira recovered quickly.
Too lazy to turn this picture around...we are trying to eat healthy around here.  Grilled salmon with a lemon pepper sauce, quinoa and brown rice and broccoli.
The twins LOVE muffins.  They "help" and watch me make the muffins and then they supervise the baking.
Sometimes they hide in the cupboard while the muffins are baking.
This picture makes me laugh!  He just plopped down on his dump truck and started to read his truck book.  I love how his hair is standing up and his little sock is turned around.
Kira joined him in her stroller.
So cute.  Isak wanted to wear this box on his head and walk around.  He kept walking into the walls so I helped him out by cutting an eye hole for him.
And then we all got in the picture.  haha.
The twins did this all on their own.  They got the rain gutters out and then rolled hot wheel cars down them.

Wearing his cool red car sunglasses.
Kira got hot pink sunglasses.  They each picked out their own.  They love to wear them.
So cool, huh?!  :)
Yep, definitely cool. haha.
Sleeping baby.
Love her little tights.
The first few days after we bought the sunglasses, the kids wore them all of the time.  I have since made a rule of no sunglasses in the house.  But this was before the rule.  They HAD to wear sunglasses while they ate dinner.

I crocheted these hats...
I took this picture of quiet, non-moving chairs to help me from going crazy.
2 year olds are hard to capture, even when they are sitting down.  Kira hates to look at the camera!
Isaks' big accomplishment.  Haha.  He even said "Ta-da" afterwards.
Beading.
And last....Kira playing music in an orange box.
I love these random pictures of everyday life.  When I look at them, it helps me smile and remember the good times.  Two 2 year olds is tough, but 99% of the time I love it. :)  They change so quickly.  What they did in March they don't do as often in April and so on.  I am just trying to enjoy each moment as it comes.

Last 3 Days

On Sunday, Nels's Dad's brother (Uncle Phil) and his wife (Aunt Meg) drove from Raleigh to see all of us.  It was fun to see them.  We cooked up some brats and enjoyed potato salad.  Here's the group.
Kira loves to help out in the kitchen.  Far Mor had a little shadow helping her make the salad.

On Monday, our big outing was to Noah's Art.  The kids loved it and did so much better than when they were 18 months old.  They really got into it.

They wanted to try everything and were pretty serious about it. :)
Lots of hand washing.
Beading.  The kids loved it so much that a week later I bought a pound of beads and a hundred pipe cleaners.  Haha...I went a little overboard on it.
Both of them started and finished bracelets.
They made them with very little help too.  The funny thing is...almost 2 months later they both still have the bracelets and wear them often.
Water coloring...and there's Kira's pink bracelet.
Picture with their artwork.
Here's all the stuff they made.

I cringed when Kira put the eye just randomly on the page...but it's ok, she's 2!
Isak did the same thing, but his eye fell off.  He loved coloring with markers on that yellow fish.
The last night they were here, we went to a delicious dinner at Old Stone Steakhouse in Belmont, NC.

Kira had a hard time.  I tried to hold her up for the pic...but it didn't turn out too well.
Yummy Filet and potato. And yes, I ate every bite!
Afterwards, we walked to the soda fountain for some ice cream.

Love this little table and chair.  Good pic of Isak.
Cute pic of Kira...

No more pictures MOM!  haha.  See his bracelet too. :)
Mother and son.
These two loved eating Far Far's ice cream!
And that's all!  We are so happy Nels's parents came to visit us.  We had a wonderful time.  Thank you for coming!!

McDowell Park

The day after we returned from the Biltmore, we headed out to McDowell Park.  I think it's such a fun park.  It has a lake, playground, hiking and a nature center.  Lots to do.
Lake houses.
Little girl with her Far Far.

Haha.  I thought this was cute.

Twins with their daddy.
My hair looks a little scraggly...haha.  Oh well.  Big smiles anyways.
Watching the turtles in the nature center.
We even got a little picture by ourselves. :)
It was a fun outing and we all enjoyed it.
