Happy Thanksgiving!

Road Trip!!  Yep, us Nyborg's got crazy and decided to go on a road trip for Thanksgiving.  Our sweet friends the Paul's invited us to their home in Beaufort, SC for Thanksgiving.  It is about 3.5 hours away, so a perfect amount in the car. Haha.  Overall, the trip was awesome and I am so happy we went and created such fun memories.  Here are some pictures of our trip:

Kira in her big car seat with lots of books ready for the drive.
Isak chillin' for the drive.
And my amazing long arm does it again.  I got us all in the picture. :)  The drive was pretty good and we made good time.
After we arrived we relaxed and watched Frozen.  Then we grilled up some yummy steaks and ate a delicious dinner.  The Paul's have adorable twin girls.  Here's the set up.  Evelyn and Kira on one end and Maleah and Isak on the other.  And look who is all dished up and ready to go.  Haha.  Nels was hungry. haha.

After we put the kids down for bed, we played Cashflow.  Guess who won...Alyssa!
It's a pretty fun game that teaches about money and investing in an entertaining way.
Thanksgiving day we went site seeing.  Beaufort is a cozy little town.  I loved it.  We went downtown to the waterfront and played at a park.
It was just so picturesque.
The kids had fun playing around and it was a cool playground.
A plantation home with a slide.
And then another play set.

Sweet Evelyn.
Our twins are about 11 months older than the Paul's twins.  But Kira is only a little bit taller than them. haha.

Jordan and Maleah conquering the slide.
Maleah running around.
Aren't girl twins just adorable!!
These girls are just so lovable too.  I missed them the moment we got in the car to come back home.

And here's their amazing mom, Alyssa.  She makes having twins look easy!
Loved seeing them swing in the same swing.
Kira was so funny.  She just kept saying "whee, whee."  I love her red jacket too.

It was a sunny, cold day.
Jordan and Maleah.
Cute Paul family.
We tried to get one of the moms and twins...but my twins were not cooperating.  Look at those two girls just sitting happily and wondering why Isak and Kira can't sit still. haha.

Pretty place.

I tried to selfie this, but it didn't work out so well.

This is the downtown area.

Loved these plantation style homes.

Then we went back to the Paul's home and ate some lunch.  So this is what 2 sets of twins looks like:

It was a quiet afternoon of napping and relaxing.  Then Alyssa kindly took our family pictures.  She did absolutely amazing!  I will be posting the pictures on the blog soon.  It was cold, and Alyssa was super patient with us.  Of course, Kira would not smile and Isak was a handful.  Oh well, we still had a good time.  Here's a sneak peek:

It's hard to pick just one I tell ya!
Thanks Alyssa!  and Jordan was an amazing assistant trying to make the kids smile and be happy!  So thanks to Jordan too!

That night we played a new game called Pandemic.  It was way Fun!

Then we left in the morning the next day.  Here's a picture of the gang before we left:
These twins are just our little miracles.  We are so grateful for them.  And here's our goofy picture. :)
Moms and twins.
Most of them were blurry like this:
And Kira once again thought, "Camera! Ah!" and tried to escape.  haha.
Thanks for the wonderful time and we will miss beautiful Beaufort!

Happy Birthday Isak and Kira!

I know it is January and I am posting about November 11.   I am totally blaming illness (at least one of us has been sick for the past six weeks) and primary (yep, being the secretary uses up my allotted computer time).  But now we are all healthy (knock on wood) and I am finally feeling caught up with primary.  So now my attention has returned to our dear old blog. :)

Here we goooooo.....
I was so excited for Isak and Kira's Birthday.  Mostly because I was ready to have some new toys to entertain them with.  They each got a big gift and a new bath towel and then a few toys to share.
Their big gift to share was a kitchen.  Nels and I spent a couple of hours putting it together and I did this fabulous job wrapping it up...a blanket worked great. haha.
The first thing they noticed were the balloons.
Then they finally got around to unwrapping.
It was so cute to watch them discover their toys.
Kira played with Isak's toys and vice versa.

Nels made yummy pancakes.  We actually celebrated the twins's birthday on a Saturday because Nels was traveling the day of their birthday.  We just made the most of it and I got to celebrate their birthday on their birthday too.
Kira loved her car with Minnie Mouse and a pony, but she needed to still be right by her dad while he made the pancakes.
Our friends, the Whitmore's, happily joined us for a last minute idea to eat at Jim & Nick's for lunch.  Here's the gang....and I ate way too many of their delicious cheddar biscuits.
I made chocolate cupcakes for the kids.  Nothing fancy....I am glad I didn't do anything too crazy, because they didn't even eat the cupcakes!!
The third cupcake was for Charlotte...our honorary triplet.
Kira looking nervous about the candles.
Isak and Charlotte.
Nels is trying to teach Isak how to blow out the candles.
Kira actually licked the frosting...but that was about all.

Sweet gift from Tiersha.  The kids loved it!
Nothing like kids entertaining themselves.  It's a beautiful thing. hee hee.
And when their birthday toys won't do the job, my spice rack will help and some cheerios.

I took these on their actually birthday.  My two two year olds!!  Wow!  Sometimes I still can't believe they are mine!
Far Far and Far Mor gave Isak this Jeep.  He LOVES it.
Kira continues to be a little angel.
I think they are pretty cute kiddos!
Yay for birthday!
The End.  :)
