Nels's Family

The main reason we ventured out west was to be at Kierstin's temple sealing.  So the day before the sealing we met up with Nels's family at Los Hermanos Restaurant.  Here's a picture of all of us girls while we waited to be seated.
Me, Donna, Britta, Anna-Lisa, and Kierstin is holding Kira.
The babies were so tired, but would not go to sleep.  Nels's dad got some great cuddle time in though.
Far Far holding Isak.

The next day we went to the Draper temple and witnessed Kierstin and Tom's sealing.  My sister Mandi came and helped take care of the babies with Nels's sister Britta.  It was so nice to be with Nels in the temple.
It was a beautiful sealing.  Kierstin was so happy and had a huge smile on her face.  One thing I remember, is the sealer said to make an unbroken chain of believers in Christ.
We took these pictures while we waited for Kierstin and Tom to come outside.
 So happy!
Oh baby boy.  You steal my heart every day.
Mandi with the babies.  Isn't Isak's facial expression hilarious?!
We went to a park afterwards to have a bbq.  But sadly the weather had other plans and rain poured down.
So we left the park and went to Pizza Pie Cafe.  Nels ordered me an oreo raspberry pizza.  So Yummy!
Here's a few more pictures with the Nyborg family.  Far Mor had toys from when Nels was a kid.  They are cool toys.  Here's Isak figuring out how the record player works.
 Tom, Kierstin and Isak.
Far Mor feeding the babies ice cream.  Isak was pumped!
 Grandparents with the grandkids.
We did go to the park the next day after the rain storm.  We had a bright, sunny day.  There were horses next to the park.  I love Isak, Nels and Far Mor giving the same face.  hahaha.
 Beautiful Britta with Kira.
The Nyborg Family.  Minus Tom, he had to work.
Kira, Britta, Anna-Lisa, Michael and Isak
Pretty tree in the park. :)
 Me and Smiley Kira.

Kira just loves her Far Far.
Nels got a work out walking Isak around.
All together.  Our happy family. :)
That was the end of our trip.  We flew back to Charlotte August 26.  So happy we could go, sad to leave and we can't wait to go again!

Melissa and Karl's

A few pictures at Melissa's:
Lynzie, age 4, was so helpful and just wanted to feed both babies at the same time. :)
Kira didn't do so well when other people tried to feed her, so I usually fed her while they fed Isak.
Surprisingly, Isak was okay with others feeding him.  Here's Tyler feeding Isak.
 And Nathan feeding Isak.
We played soccer outside and everyone played with the babies.  Here's Melissa, Kira and Abby.
I love this picture of Kira!

Here's from another night.  Isak smiled so big sitting in that green chair!!!
Karl the goalie.

While I played soccer, Nels and Michael walked the babies all over the yard.

The next morning Melissa took me to Kari's so Jared could put my permanent crown on.  While we waited the kids played with this awesome game.  You push one of the alligator's teeth down until his head falls on your hand.  Nathan, Sadie and Mason loved it.  Nels stayed at Melissa's with the babies.
We enjoyed our stay with Melissa's family.  It was so fun just to eat, play, talk and laugh!  Thanks for a great time!  Here's the gang all on one couch!  How could we not have fun?!

Jeremy and Whitney's

After BYU we went to my brother Jeremy's home.  It was so fun to see his five kids and their new dog Bella.  We went out to eat at Cafe Rio.  Sadly, I was sick from the food I ate at BYU.  :(  Since I was not feeling well, I did not take pictures!  :( :(

I took a few the next morning, but they didn't turn out very well.  Except for this one.
Whitney made this divine french toast with caramel syrup and fresh raspberries.  I was in heaven.  We talked and played with the kids.  We had a great time, other than me being sick.

Whitney also made delicious foccocia sandwiches for lunch.  Thanks for the yummy food and fun time!!  And so sorry I was not feeling well.

Mandi and Ronnie's Family

Kari drove us to Mandi's house.  We enjoyed a delicious lunch and conversation.  Then Nels, the babies and I took a nap.  We were exhausted because the babies kept waking up in the night.  They weren't used to the pack and plays and being in a different place.  So we slept for a bit during the day.

We played with the babies.
Brianna and Kira.  Isn't Kira's facial expression hilarious!?
 Brianna, Kira and Ethan.
I took some other pictures, but they didn't turn out very well. :(
Mandi made chicken artichoke chicken.  It was soooo good.  She pampered us the whole time we were there.
The next morning we went to BYU!  I asked Nels before the trip what was one thing he absolutely wanted to do...and it was to go to BYU and buy shirts.  So that's what we did.  My sister Melissa let us borrow her car.  When we arrived, there was NO parking!  We found out that it was education week.  So we had to park at the stadium and take a shuttle to the bookstore.  Mandi and her four kids, plus our family and two strollers filled up one shuttle. :)
Brianna at the stadium while we waited for the shuttle.
Kira took a little nap while we waited.
There's the library in the distance.  Many memories there.  :)
The gang walking into the bookstore.
Here we all are.  Left to right.  Nels, Brianna, Mandi, Ethan, Kyson, Teaghan and the twins are in the stroller.
Me and Nels on the stairs.  We have a soft spot for stairs since that is where Nels asked for my phone number.  :)  Not these specific stairs.  We didn't have the energy to go to the Tanner building to reminisce.
Waiting for the shuttle.  Love this picture.
 One arm picture.
 The Y Mountain.
We all went to Sub Zero Ice cream.  What a treat.  I saw them on Shark Tank pitching their business.  The guy who owns it was actually at this store.  I ended up talking to him and asked about his experience on Shark Tank.  He seemed pretty nice.
Brianna waiting for her ice cream to be made using liquid nitrogen.
My raspberry brownie ice cream and cute Teaghan in the background.
 Mandi and Teaghan.
 Silly Nels.
Isak trying out Sub Zero ice cream.
 And the verdict.  Yummy!
Thank you Mandi's family for an adventurous day and helping us accomplish our goal!  We love you!!!
