Spring Break fell at a perfect time for Nels to take time off work so we decided to surprise the kids and go to Disney World!!!
Of course, I had to order matching Disney shirts for us. Once the shirts arrived, we told the kids our plans. So here's me and Nels in our red shirts just before we made our announcement. 😄
We took a few pictures and then talked about our plans.
We told them on a Monday night and we weren't leaving until Sunday. So they had plenty of time to ask a gazillion questions. Here's a picture of them looking at a map of Disney World and looking up the rides to see which ones they want to go on.
Then Sunday we left for our ten hour drive to Florida.
Nels listened to some music and jammed out for a while. I listened to a book. The kids did games on their kindles. We all listened to two or three stories from the Friend and a kids book called "Narwhal and Jelly." We ate snacks and ate at McDonalds for lunch.
Traffic was great and we didn't have any issues, except Sofie threw up once...but we were able to take care of it quickly. I gave Isak Dramimine and that helped him not get sick in the car. Oh, and when we checked into the hotel we realized Nels forgot his driver license! But we did ok without it.
We arrived at 8 pm to Chili's for dinner.

Then we got ready for bed in our Embassy Suites hotel room.
Around 11 p.m., Isak threw up. I was so worried that he'd be sick for a long time. We prayed and put oils on him. He slept well and was healthy in the morning. Phew!
