After their half day of school, we went to Carson Lane Park. It was a beautiful day to go.
Noah was so cute with a little guy that followed him around. I overheard Noah explaining to the little boy, "there are sharks on the ground and they will eat you, if you touch the ground." and "we have to put the code in to pass"...the tic tac toe cubes had to be in a certain pattern for the code. The little boy just loved it. It was so fun to watch/listen to Noah and his imagination.
Sofie and Kira collected things...
August 6 - our neighbor Natalia invited us to her daughter Lulu's birthday party. It was at Urban Air. This is a very colorful, loud and energetic place. The kids loved it! Nels and I just tried to keep track of the four kids that all went in different directions!
Noah was so excited to do the bumper cars...but then when it started it was too fast and he screamed and cried. Thankfully, the supervisor was able to turn it off and Noah was able to leave the ride.
The other three kids liked it though. :)
Kira and Isak were tall enough to do the rope courses and zip lines.
And rock wall climbing.
Noah did enjoy the trampoline and a kid area with slides and easier climbing. Sofie and Kira went everywhere and were fearless trying new things. Overall, they all had a great time. We were exhausted when we came home and just relaxed afterwards.
On one of the school days, I met up with a friend and we went hiking. So fun!
Just enjoying the backyard...
One evening, I indulged myself with a bowl of ice cream and enjoyed watching the kids play in the backyard and...
watching the sunset.
Cute Kira girl.
We met Natalia and her kids Lulu and Hawkes at the park one day...
We played some frisbee.
And did some swinging...and more playing. It was a nice outing and ended when rain came pouring down. We dashed to the car laughing and screaming.
Sunset walk...
Isak is into football right now because it's all his friends talk about and play at recess. So Nels and I have been tossing the football with him.
We went to the Family History Fair ward activity. The kids made boats out of tin foil and blew them across the pool...representing ancestors who came across the Atlantic Ocean...They also did wheelbarrow races. I was proud of Sofie and Kira hopping in there. They came in second. Isak and his friend Henry won for their age group.
There was cotton candy, popcorn, hot dogs and pie for everyone to eat. It was a fun activity.
And that's it for August Outings.
