We didn't get out too much in January. But there were a couple of days that we took advantage of the warmer weather.
One day we went to the park and went for a walk along the greenway.
Good to see these kids playing on a playground.Kira got some good snuggles too. Isn't she the cutest unicorn girl?!
Here we are on our walk...you can see my shadow so that counts for a family photo, haha.
The kids have been doing a 25 day read aloud challenge. Every five days that they complete they get a little reward. They decided to combine two rewards and go out for donuts for the reward. Sofie quickly read her last10 minutes aloud right before we left for the outing. :)
We went to Project Donuts and each of the kids picked out a donut. Isak chose a maple bacon donut. He let me take a bite and it was delicious. Noah got a dozen donut holes.
Kira and Sofie got pink frosting with sprinkles on it.
Nels got a maple bar.
I got a raspberry filled donut. So yummy. Good job reading kiddos!!
Afterwards, we went hiking at Barfield Park. We chose a trail instead of a paved path. It was so fun!
A few pictures at the wilderness station.
Then the kids played at the nearby park.
Sofie made it all the way across the monkey bars! It took her a couple of tries, but she did it! I was so proud of her!
And that was it for family outings this month.
