Snow Outing #4, 5, 6 & 7!

I'm lumping these next outings together in one post.  :)
Outing #4 -
One night we got a 4-5 inches of snow.  Our friend and his son came over and built a fort with a tunnel for the kids to play in.  It was so fun.
It's pretty big.  Two kids fit in the tunnel!

Outing #5 - Sledding at the windmill again.
This time we went with some friends and that made it even more fun!  I actually took all four kids by myself!

Mary is a month older than Sofie and Noah.  Sofie and Mary got along super well!  They were so fun to watch.
Noah hung out with me.  We went down the hill a couple of times!  Big deal for him.  He did complain, saying something like, "up and down, sledding is dumb!"  haha.  He endured it well and he did try to make the most of it.
The little kids loved this icy patch on the hill.

Here's the group.  There's Emi (a year older than Isak and Kira) and Rocco (a couple months younger than Isak and Kira).  Isak and Rocco got a long really well too.
I went down with Sofie and Noah a couple of times.  Three on a sled!
My friend took this photo.  💕
Outing #5 - backyard.
More snow came.  So our friend made another tunnel for the kids to play in.
Nels and Isak built a second tunnel together.

Lots of fun!
Outing #7 - a winter walk in the evening.
Noah stayed home...he was done with snow.
I took a walk with Sofie, Isak and Kira.  The sun was almost done setting.  It ended up being a short walk.
Plus, the snow was deep and difficult to walk in.
But it was perfect for snow angels!
Look how high the snow is on the bench!
The creek near the trail.
And that was the last outing in January.
This next picture was actually taken in the morning while we waited for the bus.  The sun was making the snow glittery.  I tried to capture it.  It's better in real life though.
